I was able to fix this bug and get it to properly update to 1.25.0.
What I did below:
1. Make sure the /etc/zm.conf is the latest version. During the ubuntu
12.04 dist upgrade I chose to keep my old conf
During boot hold down left shift or Esc button to see the grub menu.
Xorg.0.log.old can be readed with gedit

The reasoning is that a hardware button press should always register as a mouse

This has been fixed in upstream since version 3.2.0

(I'm a bit sad that Precise being an LTS version did not get a newer
version of ganglia-monitor since current version 3.1.7 is already over
two years old.)
This is trivial for a dev to replicate, no need to push it back to the

glxgears is not a benchmark. The reason you get 60 fps in Precise is
because of vsync (60 Hz = 60 fps).
