Transmission doesn't have the power to ignore a killall command. The
most likely issue here is that Linux isn't closing the process until it
finishes the disk IO.
If long waits for disk IO is the issue, there are a few common causes
(1) slow disk connections, such as an external USB drive; (2)
general workaround:
Add these lines to /etc/rc.local (before exit 0)
cp -R -p /dev/video0 /dev/video2
cp -R -p /dev/video1 /dev/video0
cp -R -p /dev/video2 /dev/video1
rm -rf /dev/video
This swaps the video devices on startup.

I executed the command and things went well. Then I followed the
instruction and reproduced the bug report, however, when I navigated to
/var/crash there were nothing there. the folder is empty so no file to
attach to the report.
Please advise.

Problem is still in 1.1.0, and is two fold:
1. second gimp call loses filename, can't overwrite
2. resolution is lost on return
To fix in lib/Gscan2pdf:
1. Edit Page.pm, line 110, in thaw, to initialize $suffix
my $suffix = pnm;
2. Edit Document.pm, insert one line at 2614 to pass resolution
I don't know what pieces of software are really involved with this
problem, but it's not likely to be nautilus.

I have now tried all the different methods I could find to upgrade the
BIOS, including making a .img file and booting to it from grub. In the
cases that work at all, I get the message at the DOS prompt 'Test.' It
appears that the .exe file has been nerfed so it will only work
'properly' under
My brother just hit this bug many times since yesterday on a folder with
~6000 pictures (I do not know if that can be helpful) with an Ubuntu
12.10 fully updated as of yesterday (12/29/2012).
