The latest pulseaudio update fixed this for me on 16.04.
After the update, just to see if something changed, I reverted the
changes made by my workaround in comment #20, rebooted, tested it for a

My current pulseaudio version is 1:8.0-0ubuntu3.3

Title:
package tex-common 6.07 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess
installed post-installation script
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.
I can confirm that smartshine 0.36-0ubuntu2 on Ubuntu Artful refuses to
start if python-cairo isn't installed. While testing, I also discovered
that python-gi is another undocument requirement of this package.

> Moreover, the HBO link wasn't even an advertisement!
I think the thing that made me feel uneasy is that the motd read like an
advertisement. And so did parts of the article, specifically saying that
we should watch Silicon Valley. I appreciate that it was not meant that
way though.
No, that doesn't seem to work right:
- the touchpad does not react to any input (single tap, multi tap, swipe left,
up)
- the screen resolution is wrong (everything is huge, looks like 800x600 or
something)
There were some errors when installing. See below:
