[Bug 106958] Re: Network is unstable with Intel 82540EM ethernet card
Well, my colleague may have found the problem. It seems that it is a kernel configuration since 2.6.17 that is in cause. On my machine, and those of my colleague, setting net.ipv4.tcp_rmem works fine. I've not yet tested on other machines that had similar problem ... To set this configuration, run : sudo sysctl -w net.ipv4.tcp_window_scaling=0 Or append net.ipv4.tcp_window_scaling=0 in /etc/sysctl.conf It seems (on french forums) that this configuration coulod affect local wide transfers, in this case, configuration of kernel 2.6.17 is net.ipv4.tcp_rmem=4096 87380 174760. [Bug 112328] Re: [Feisty] Firefox crashed x86
Thank you Larry for submitting this report. However, the coredump file attached to your report doesn't provide useful information for us. Could you please try to obtain a backtrace by following the instructions on [1]. Please indicate which extensions/plugins do you have enabled; and if this crash is reproducible describe the steps that lead to it (it is very important for us to have a test case for each crash). This will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem. Thanks in advance. H. Re: [Bug 110724] Re: OpenOffice runs as root for all users
:$... Sorry - that is quite embarrassing. [Bug 112544] Click on next or previous email do not work well
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution Hello, I am using Evolution 2.10.1 under Ubuntu Festy Faon. When I click on the button suivant or précédent (French user! ) (that is next or previous ) while reading an email, I don't get the next or previous email of my current list sorted per day or per name, whatever else. It seems that the next or previous email I get is the next or previous that has been loaded in the database. For instance, the first email loaded is the welcoming one coming from Evolution itself when you launched it for the first time. when I open this email, the previous button is shaded, the next button is active whatever the kind of sort used. The same for the last message I got but the previous button is active, the next button is inactive. About sorting par date, it don't work because I loaded the database of Evolution with several counts and repertories coming from outlook. Then, the order of the loading is not the order of the date of the messages (huh ? I am not very clear, isn't it ? Sorry for my approximate English). Re: [Bug 112465] Re: restricted != nesvobodn ý - uzavřený
Citace z odkazu od pana Tomeše: The term open source software is used by some people to mean more or less the same category as free software. It is not exactly the same class of software: they accept some licenses that we consider too restrictive, and there are free software licenses they have not accepted. However, the differences in extension of the category are small: nearly all free software is open source, and nearly all open source software is free. A Martinovi a dalším to zřejmě docvaklo až v těchto dnech, kdy mění svou rétoriku v konferenci. Proč prostě nepřijde a nepřizná: Dělal jsem to blbě, šlo to dělat lépe, Petr Tomeš a další měl evidetně pravdu a myslel to dobře. Téměř veškeré vaše přispění přišlo díky mému pochybení vniveč při dalších vydáních, kdy Rosetta není schopna dobře zládnout import řetězců všech balíků z předhcozích vydání a sloučit to s upstreamem. Pokud se dokážete zdržet svých urážlivých poznámek, lze s Vámi spolupracovat. Pokud to nedokážete, zvažte prosím, zda Vaše jednání není v rozporu s CoC a zda vůbec něčemu pozitivnímu slouží. -- desktop != osobní https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/112464 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 112465] Re: restricted != nesvobodn ý - uzavřený
5.5.07, Václav Čermák [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Citace z odkazu od pana Tomeše: The term open source software is used by some people to mean more or less the same category as free software. It is not exactly the same class of software: they accept some licenses that we consider too restrictive, and there are free software licenses they have not accepted. However, the differences in extension of the category are small: nearly all free software is open source, and nearly all open source software is free. -- restricted != nesvobodný - uzavřený https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/112465 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 89896] Re: [herd-5] no wlan0 device after loading ndiswrapper
odolühi, use the latest ndiswrapper (currently this is 1.43) and uninstall the drivers and install the latest drivers from Atheros. golfbuf, your problem isn't related to this bug, nor is it a bug. You have to use the correct driver. Use a 32bit-driver if you are running a 32it-Ubuntu (i386). (If you plan to use ndiswrapper under amd64, use a 64bit-driver.) Garo, your issue sounds more like a network-manager issue, network-manager sometimes interferes with ifup/down. Instead of sudo modprobe -r ndiswrapper; sudo modprobe ndiswrapper use sudo ifdown wlan0; sudo ifup wlan0 and report if this works. -- [herd-5] no wlan0 device after loading ndiswrapper https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/89896 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 91132] Re: screensaver (?) locks up computer or causes reboot
Finally I have managed to trap more information on this bug. Here is from my /var/log/messages in the past few days. What you see at the top of the list is the npviewer segfault, and you can see that this is not fatal, at least not directly by any means, as the computer kept running apparently normally for more than three hours afterwards. Then suddenly at three o'clock in the night, something not usual takes place. I cannot understand what is going on - but you can also see that when I returned to the computer the following afternoon I had to restart it to get something done. [Bug 112552] Packages containing a tilde are deleted by clean.sh
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: apt-mirror Using apt-mirror on Ubuntu 6.10. I am using apt-mirror to mirror 7.04 AMD64 and i386 repositories. All files are successfully downloaded into the mirror. The clean.sh file created to remove unnecessary files is created containing all directories with packages containing tildes, including acct, cdparanoia, openoffice.org-dictionaries, darcs and many more. Running the script deletes these files, however they are not unnecessary as they are re-downloaded the next time apt-mirror is run. These files are therefore being incorrectly identified for deletion by apt-mirror (which creates the clean.sh script). The only thing I can see in common between the deleted files are that they all contain a tilde (~) in the package name, e.g openoffice.org-hyphenation- hu_2.0.4~rc1-3ubuntu1_all.deb. This leads me to suspect that packages containing a tilde are incorrectly identified by apt-mirror as not necessary, partial downloads or temp files. ** Affects: apt-mirror (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Packages containing a tilde are deleted by clean.sh https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/112552 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
