I have a Thinkpad X61 Tablet, 7767a4u, on which I originally installed
7.04. I only used 7.04 for a week before upgrading to 7.10. Since then
the sleep function has worked perfectly. My last successful sleep &
wake-up was 3 days ago.

complete inbox did not disappear. Instead, just some newly arrived mails
remained invisible. After clearing ~/.evolution/mail/exchange the inbox

I triaged the problem
It was caused by LC_CTYPE=fi_FI.UTF-8 when LANG=en_US.UTF-8. LC_CTYPE
was set in /etc/environment.
I am not familiar with LC_CTYPE, but I assume it deals with character
conversion somehow. This setting caused problems in Eclipse, which
opened files as ANSI instead of UTF-8 t

When you select Applications>Accessories>Dictionary and type in Übuntu,
no results are found. Results are there for other Linux distros such as
Red Hat or Debian. Ubuntu needs to be added to this dictionary also.

Correction: Jpilot does work without strace. It doesn't work when
launched from the Gnome menu.
Jpilot works when launched from gnome-terminal.
Jpilot does not work when clicked on the menu icon.
Additionally, it froze at the end of sync because the Expense plugin was
selected by default. I unsel
BTW, I am using Ubuntu 7.10 (Gusty Gibson)

After upgrade from feisty to gutsy, I have the same problem on a thinkpad t40.
gnome-power-manager shows always using only AC adapter.
HAL can't detect my battery, but acpi detect battery.
It apears :

Ok, I'm giving up. There are errors in the debian/driver.files. It
refers to files that do not exist in the source, and since it doesn't
package the addi-data directory (yes, it looks like this builds
additional non-module utilities, but configure breaks if its absent),
the build fails.
