On a quick look the first patch looks good to me! You don't need to
worry about POT files, these are generated automatically by a program
called "xml2pot" - is that what you used? Editing them manually is a bad
idea.
I'd suggest working with the earlier attachment.

There is a condition expression at line 99 of /etc/init.d/openser that
tests if $HOMEDIR exists, and if not, create it. But the condition
misses the ! (negation) operator. I changed as follows and it works

I have the exact same problem with an ATI card outputting to my wide
screen TV over HDMI. Cuts off most of the trash icon on the right side
of the bottom panel. I'm using an Asus M2A-VM HDMI motherboard which
has an integrated ATI Radeon X1250-based (PCI-e) graphics card. My TV
is a Samsung 1080
I'm guessing you're using the "kde4" package version 2, version 3.2 should be
out soon which is the one you'll want.

Forgive me butting in. I have lodged a similar bug but can't find it. I have
the same problem except
1) laptop is Toshiba Presario with AMD Sempron CPU.
2) Linux Ubuntu 7.10 cohabits with WinXP in separate partition.
Boot time between GRUB menu and Ubuntu logon is 2min 53sec.
I have same setup

Rebuild with bumped version is enough to make it work again: x11-common
conflicts with the very version which is in repository (to avoid
installing ABI-incompatible version I believe, but I did not check it
hard enough).

I have a pdf file (A4) printed from MacOS X Pages. When i open it with
evince and print it (Letter Size), white strips or erasures show up in
the output. I don't think it is my printer's ink running out, because
the erasures show up even in print

I tried to follow the directions for working with nss-updatedb. That results
in putting ldap in the nsswitch.conf. That seems to do it for me. I have to
