Thanks for the feedback. I checked that bug. The scenario is different
than my experience. I searched my file system for mozilla/firefox/lock
and /.parent and could not locate them.

I installed it this morning, and added intel_iommu=off as suggested in
the Phoronix post:

It looked like it worked, as my system ran for about 15 minutes without
panicking, but as soon as I inserted a usb wireless device it crashed

If you run the below command, you can see some answers to your
questions. The gnome-core package includes what GNOME defines as "core",
and is maintained by the Debian GNOME team. If you don't like those
definitions, don't install gnome-core; it's not installed by default in
