Since reporting this bug, I have reproduced it on at least three other
machines; it has also occurred using both the i386 and amd64 versions of
the natty beta1 release. BTW, I am careful *_always_* to test the
integrity of .isos, first by doing an md5sum on the download and then on
the burned CD.
Earlier this week, I had a day from hell attempting to upgrade four
different machines to natty. The moral of the story is to take detailed
notes, which I failed to do and therefore the following is from memory.

When I print a document from kate, the footers print. The header does
not print. The first 1.75 lines of each page are also truncated when
printed either to paper or to a PDF virtual printer. With the missing
header, 2.75 lines

unrelated to KDE print perfectly routinely, e.g. Firefox. Thus, while I
use kate for much drafting, I have to use gedit for printing.
