well, I've upgraded from 2.6.18-rc2-mm1/2.6.18-rc3 to 2.6.18-rc4-mm1 and
the behaviour seems to be gone, no delays during bootup anymore (there
are other issues now, as my kbd/mouse is way too fast now, but that's
another story and that's what I deserve for tracking -mm :)). I am
running LTS
well, I've bisected already to find the patch that introduced it but I'm
a bit short on time to do so for the fix again. I'll stick to the ubuntu
kernel for now and I might upgrade to edgy soon. FWIW, 2.6.18-rc4 still
hast the delays (2.6.18-rc4-mm1 has not, but *everything* was way too
fast, so
(no SSLv2-use) anymore.
Best way would be a new parameter to select the protocol-version
(SSLv2, SSLv3, TLSv1).

mmm. I'm not happy with the fix (setkeycodes e017 148). The fix
seems to conflict with Fn+F8 (touchpad on/off). After running
setkeycodes e017 148 the ThinkVantage button is producing the same
keycode as the Fn+F8 combination. For helping troubleshooting I attach
the output of showkey:
Official Hardy-debs are now available at 42tools.com. Now they just need
to be included in the repository.

AFAICS this is the same as #421606 in debian and got fixed in 0.16.3-8.
Ubuntu/Feisty is still at 0.16.3-6.
The bug in debian has been tagged as grave - I'd consider a similiar severity
for the ubuntu bug - can we assume that this will be fixed in feisty?

I never had this problem with jaunty beta but after I updated today, I also got
the problem. I removed the cache as described here and the 100% CPU load is
gone.
I needed a couple of tries at re-indexing
With the Jaunty Alpha2 at least the live CD works fine.
This wasn't the case with Intrepid Alpha5/6. So for me this bugs seems to be

Unfortunately, using KMS makes the system even more unstable for me with
freezes. When I switch the resolution inside the X-server and KMS is
enabled the screen gets corrupted. I also experience crashes with KMS so
I disabled it again.

By appending the line below to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf gave me an

I still have the same problem with my Lenovo Thinkpad R61. Using the
latest Hardy (backports) kernel or the latest Intrepid kernel is causing
a kernel panic when I remove the iwl3945 module. With the Intrepid
kernel I can load/reload the module at least one or two times.

I tried the Ubuntu Eclipse version a while ago. There was the problem that the
CVS did't work with extssh. So i had to switch to an downloaded eclipse from
eclipse.org.
The reason why i thought this is a ubuntu bug is because it happens with
different JVM (including the Ubuntu packages).
I tried the eclipse package now and got a the bug like Bug #67850.

We encounter a strange problem with the installation of kubuntu 6.0.6.1.
We are using the alternate disk and performin a text-based installation.

i have the same problem too, but i found out a simple sulution to this
error, just disable all ur USB connected drives including memory card
readers etc. and try rynning the installation again this will work now,,

I have been bitten by the same bug. Until this problem is fixed, could
you please include chntpw.static from Upstreams source package? I have
been using it to successfully reset my password
