on 32bit and i have no problems with it. GPLflash is out for 64bit to

Gary there are no duplicates of this bug at this time. dapper no longer
uses kde 3.5.2. unless someone else provides information that this bug
still exsits there isnt much we can do. I have kde 3.5.3 and 3.5.4
running on a couple of my pcs, and i am not ablet o reproduce this

after looking at the man page i found that gksu is the front end for the
su password (not set up unless you manully set it up) IMHO i dont
recommend setting it up. gksudo is the front end for sudo. let me know
if gksudo works with your user password.

Binary package hint: kernel-image-2.6.17-7-386-di
This morning i upgraded to the 2.6.17-7-386 kernel and rebooted. I got
to the usplash and not test was in the box and the progress bar didnt
move. I waited around 5mins and rebooted took usplash out of the boot
options
I let it sit long enough and it said /dev/sda1/ does not exist so
changing it to /dev/hda1 worked fine. added splash back to kernel args.
and everything boots usplash shows not text. I will file a bug on
usplash when i get a few minutes.

Binary package hint: usplash
the usplash version 0.4-17 is not showing text in the box as it boots or
shutdown/reboot. im using vesa drivers at this time because of nvidia
and linux-source issues. The progress bar moves just no text is
scrolled.
