[Bug 309684] Re: Please sync exiv2-0.18 from Debian Experimental
After giving it a quick look, I realized porting the current pyexiv2 0.1.2 to libexiv2 0.18 was not that much work, so I got it done. The changes are small and not really intrusive, they were affecting EXIF thumbnail related code only. I now have a 0.1.3 branch (lp:~osomon/pyexiv2/pyexiv2-0.1.3) that compiles against libexiv2 0.18 and provides exactly the same functionality as 0.1.2. @Luka: I'm going to release a tarball, should I assign the bug to you? ** Changed in: pyexiv2 (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = In Progress -- Please sync exiv2-0.18 from Debian Experimental https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/309684 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 309684] Re: Please sync exiv2-0.18 from Debian Experimental
Note that I integrated one of the two patches to the package in the branch (http://patch- tracking.debian.net/patch/series/view/pyexiv2/0.1.2-4/02_noscript), that should one patch less to maintain. I had a look at the sources of the two rdepends, phatch and lazygal, and none of them makes use of the thumbnailing facilities provided by pyexiv2, so the packages shouldn't need any change (contrary to what I stated in my previous comment, there is one small change in the API of pyexiv2.Image.getThumbnailData). -- Please sync exiv2-0.18 from Debian Experimental https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/309684 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 309684] Re: Please sync exiv2-0.18 from Debian Experimental
Luka, I don't really see the point of conditional compilation in that case. As commented earlier, no rdepends make use of this thumbnailing code. Moreover, pyexiv2 being a python module, no compilation process is involved for rdepends, so as long as the API doesn't change, clients don't care about which version of libexiv2 is behind the scenes. -- Please sync exiv2-0.18 from Debian Experimental https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/309684 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 480671] [NEW] Firefox auto-completes login fields in a case-insensitive manner
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.5 (may be related to bug #469981) If I have two username/password pairs for two web applications in the same domain (say http://example.com/app1/login and http://example.com/app2/login), and if the usernames happen to differ only in the case (say Foo for app1 and foo for app2), whenever I try to login to app2 the auto-completion feature will always change foo to Foo. Whether I manually type it in completely or select it from the dropdown list doesn't make a difference, I'm unable to enter the correct username and therefore to login. I didn't find any magic combination of keys to work it around. I didn't test but I guess the same happens when the two usernames are used for the same application as well. IMHO coherence should be a strong dependency of the package (moovida-plugins-bad). In this PPA, python-twisted is also a strong dependency of moovida-plugins-bad to work around http://coherence-project.org/ticket/243. [Bug 905139] [NEW] Opening an URL launches the default browser at address %u
Public bug reported: revelation is configured to open URLs using the following command: gnome-open %U. According to the source package this is the default configuration (stored in gconf as /apps/revelation/launcher/website). [Bug 894805] [NEW] QT_IMPORTS_DIR is not defined
Public bug reported: When requiring the Qt4 package in a CMakeLists.txt, among the available variables the one called QT_IMPORTS_DIR should point to where QML plugins are to be installed (its value would typically be /usr/lib/qt4/imports). However with cmake 2.8.5-1ubuntu1 in Oneiric, its value is QT_IMPORTS_DIR-NOTFOUND as evidenced when running cmake on the following minimal CMakeLists.txt: cmake_minimum_required(VERSION 2.8) find_package(Qt4 REQUIRED) message(QT_IMPORTS_DIR = ${QT_IMPORTS_DIR}) A quick look at /usr/share/cmake-2.8/Modules/FindQt4.cmake shows that the logic used to define the value of QT_IMPORTS_DIR queries qmake’s QT_INSTALL_IMPORTS variable. On the same machine, the query returns the expected value: $ qmake -query QT_INSTALL_IMPORTS /usr/lib/qt4/imports So the logic to define QT_IMPORTS_DIR in /usr/share/cmake-2.8/Modules/FindQt4.cmake is somehow faulty. I have tested the above both on x86 and amd64, with the same results. It probably needs further investigation to determine why it doesn’t work in unity. ** Changed in: unity-2d (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Invalid ** Changed in: unity-2d Status: Confirmed = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/749430 Title: can not pin gparted to launch bar -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 729074] Re: dynamic quicklists are not working
I apparently can’t change the status of the bug for unity, but it’s definitely *not* fixed there. Tested with the latest updates, with banshee and tomboy, when they are running their quicklists should contain extra entries exposed by their indicators, but they don’t. I believe this may be a regression in BAMF that doesn’t seem to expose indicators anymore. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/729074 Title: dynamic quicklists are not working -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 753969] Re: [launcher] Backlight Mode cannot be configured
This is indeed not implemented in unity-2d as of today. No clue if/when it will be implemented. [Bug 754116] Re: [window management] unmaximizing a terminal window changes its original vertical size

[Bug 729074] Re: dynamic quicklists are not working
To clarify what has been a misunderstanding (thanks Didier for the explanations): menus exported by applications over indicators are not shown in the quicklists any more in Natty (they used to be in Maverick), and this is by design. However, applications can define custom quicklists using the libunity API (Déjà Dup for example does it). This is not implemented in unity-2d yet, and this bug report will track the implementation.

[Bug 662616] Re: drag from dash to launcher
@James: they are not merged; we use the same bug report to track the issue in both projects. If you open the bug in a web browser, you will notice that the status of the bug for unity-2d is still Triaged, meaning we are aware it’s not fixed there. @Joaquín: unfortunately Launchpad doesn’t allow to filter bug-mail on a project basis, so you are also receiving status updates even if the changes affect only unity, not unity-2d. That’s unfortunate. However you don’t need to systematically confirm that it is still valid in unity-2d, unless the status is incorrect. Look for the ** Changed in: … line at the end of the e-mails to know which project a given status update concerns. Even though we try hard to keep synchronization with unity, if a bug report is marked Confirmed or Triaged for unity-2d, then we are aware it’s not fixed yet. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/662616 Title: drag from dash to launcher -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
