I've been testing the Gutsy Release Candidate x86_64 and I was very
happy when I tried to open an website with a java applet and I saw the
plugin finder asking to install the icedtea-java7-plugin to allow me to
open the applets.
I've tested adding this repository (deb
http://people.ubuntu.com/~doko/ubuntu/ gutsy/), and it downloaded and
installed the *b21-1.4+20071007-0ubuntu1 version from the packages
(except for he java-common package, for this one it gets the 0.26ubuntu1
version from the ubuntu repositories).

Im having the same problem. Theres no real rhyme or reason to it, I
haven't waited for 20 mins for it to calm down, but my HD goes crazy and
the computer is barely responsive, and by barely, i mean the mouse is
even slow to move, forget trying to open a program.

I'm seeing this as well. Both the menu font and the text font (in the
editor) are small and hard to read. If I try switching to another font,
either through the interface or through the .emacs file, there is a bit
of a delay (window frozen) before the new font takes effect. No problems

Restricted driver manager tells me that I don't need any restricted
drivers, but I have a NVIDIA Geforce 6800 Card, which I think that,

I am following this as I am having the same problems. I have checked the
/etc/rc2.d folder and I don't have a S20dbus file, no dbus file in that
folder at all.
I do have an @20dsub file in the /rc3.d folder I changed this to S12dbus
with on effect.
This problem is getting to the stage where I
I have solved my problem. I copied the S20dbus file from /etc/rc3.d
folder to /etc/rc2.d folder and renamed it to S12dbus and I now log in
with no Hal error and my thumb rive working fine.

Recently the uWSGI project got php support via libphp (php-embed)

Without proper php-embed support the uwsgi php plugin cannot be included
in debian/ubuntu
Some news about it ?
