totem-xine crashes when attempting to "watch TV on adapter 0", while xine-ui or
calling totem-xine with a DVB://[channelname] URI works.
DVB-T card in my case, ~/.xine/channels.conf known to be well formed.

Extensive testing and trying to interpret the logs above myself led me to
physically disconnect the DVD-Drive. This made the problem go away.
So it's the kernel waiting for the DVD-Drive, where no medium is inserted.

IIRC the reboot did not happen when i disconnected the keyboard from the

Hmmm simply changing the status to invalid just doesn't solve the
issue.
I outlined above how to reproduce this bug. Clone a partiton, give it a new
label and UUID, and blkid yields nonsense.

That was true for the dapper kernel, but is no longer.
See my link to the changelog entry for the feisty kernel.i have tracked down
that this is the change introducing the bug.
So either reenabling pata_amd or running without libata totally would fix it
IMHO.

It seems I'm suffering from a different incarnation of the same bug:
After cloning my Feisty (sdb1) install to another partition (sda7) on the same
machine i ran reiserfstune -u `uuidgen` /dev/sda7 to give the clone a different
UUID. This was successful
When trying to edit the fstab of the clone
As of Hardy alpha 6 this seems to be fixed. :-)
