I recently hooked up some camera and installed zoneminder. I also
installed mythzoneminder to use it with myth. I did have to do
sudo ln -s /etc/zm/zm.conf /etc/zm.conf
in order to get it to work. I then had to do
sudo /usr/bin/mythzmserver
in order for mythtv to be able to connect to the zo
IIRC, the video_covers dir is now /var/lib/mythtv/posters. It is in
9.04, and I believe was also in 8.10. This only applies to NEW DB's,
existing DB's will have either the old setting, or whatever people
changed it to.
I think the main problem still exists though (unless it was fixed in
9.04). T

The mythweb symlinks might be fixed, I'm not totally sure on that. I
thought I remember having to do that on 8.10, but again that was an install
long ago so I may be incorrect.
The default video_covers directory is fixed, I did that myself. Not at home
at the moment, but IIRC it is now /v

I believe I also have this bug on my Inspiron E1505 running Hardy AMD64.
This machine has intel graphics and wireless. This slowdown happens to
me whether i'm copying to either of my USB drives or over the wired or
wireless network.
The wired network didn't seem to slow down until about 600MB if
I've tested this on both my Mythbuntu 64-bit frontend, as well as my 2
Gutsy 64-bit machines with MCC installed. In all instances it fixes the
problem.

I have a Compaq Presario 2104US which has an ATI Mobility U1 in it. I
tried getting the external display working (connected via VGA) but was
unable to do so. I tried using xrandr --auto (nothing happened), tried
the screen resolution as well as the screens & graphics utility
AFAIK, the only 3600 commercial skip setting is for manual commercial
skips. It says this in the GUI, that it does not affect auto commercial
skipping. Are the entire commercial breaks not removed, or just the
last minute of commercials?

I ran into this same problem yesterday. Although the max size it
allowed me to do was different (around 50GB on an XFS partition). I
ended up throwing in a feisty cd and partitioning it with gparted. I
had other problems trying to do the same with a gutsy tribe 5 cd.

Looks like this wasn't fixed as of 0.23.0+fixes23868. I've pushed new
changes to my branch that I believe fixes it. Awaiting review.

Unfortunately it is missing some items necessary to understand or
reproduce the problem. Could you please provide the full version of
MythTV and what version of Mythbuntu you are using? Please also let us
know if this is a Mythbuntu
Does that file exist on your system? If not, can you try creating it?

Looks like the issue was in mythweb.postinst
Mythweb Authentication was set to true (when in non-interactive mode).
This caused postinst to pull in new user/pass. Since we don't store
user/pass in plaintext (it gets cleared from conf file), in non-
interactive mode user/pass were set to "". Fixed
Where are you seeing that message?

The Lucid packages will not be fixed in the Ubuntu repositories. It will
be fixed in Maverick. You can get the fix now by enabling auto-builds
from the mythbuntu website.

Shutdown != suspend. Perhaps mythtv needs to add suspend functionality
to that menu.
