[I'm using Dapper, stable, up to date.] When using k3b, I like to
select the option to verify the data that was burned to the CD. When
burning is finished, k3b ejects the CD and then retracts it to do the
verify. When the CD is retracted, I get

whatever the situation is) so that they know that there's a problem.

I have encountered a probably related problem. I have a Samsung ML-
2152W (and my driver is postscript).
On the printer's panel, I have duplex off. From System Settings
application (from the main KDE menu), I selected my printer and disabled
duplexing.
Yet, any postscript document I printed

It's hard to say. You can boot the live CD with 600M, but the installer
freezes. If you get past the install, then boot freezes. When the
installer has frozen, however, the rest of the system is okay. Only the
installer is locked up.

I just did a clean install of 9.04 server rc. I did have a heck of a
time wresting with partman, but I finally, after several tries, got my
disks set up with mdraid. (I had trouble like this with partman as far
back as Gutsy.)

In theory, fake RAID and software RAID should be the same thing. The
only practical difference is where they get their metadata from. One

In trying to get a Verizon EVDO usb cellular modem to work with Ubuntu,
the system is incorrectly recognizing it as a USB mass storage device,
which is likely what's making me completely unable to make it work
properly.

(at 91%, observed already by a number of other people on other real
hardware), and also, after installing under a smaller VM, the system

RAID, which is known to get broken during upgrades (on top of all of the
other horrors that happen in Dapper - Edgy upgrades).

Now, QuiteInsane gives me errors when I want to scan.

installing it, I find no ntp daemon, and it's not up after reboot
either.
