Serge - I did as you requested. When running the guest using that kvm
command, and then accessing it with vncviewer, I still get the same
black screen. 'top' on the server shows the process using 99% cpu.

The version of windows I am using is, Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 with SP2
Enterprise Edition.
The kvm command I tested was:
kvm -drive file=/mnt/slices/newtuna.qcow2,if=virtio,index=0,boot=on -m 1G
-vnc :1
and that gave me the same result, blank screen, high cpu usage.

It in fact did not fix the problem. The problem was that writeback cache is off
by default in Ubuntu Server 10.04 LTS, but the default was on in Ubuntu Server
8.04 LTS. It was a backwards incompatible change that was not documented, and
it took months of my time to resolve. The solution was to

powepc+ps3.iso, it happens when one re-runs Detect network settings,

Well, it will still take some changes to k3b, itself, which someone will
have to be willing to work on. Completion of the easy-codec-
installation specification will just make this more feasible. I'm not
volunteering myself to do this (although I may be interested in trying).

The original report describes what happens if you simply highlight an
entry in the keyboard shortcuts list and press backspace. For instance,
if the focus is on the Volume down row, pressing backspace will jump
you to Sound parent node.
To remove the shortcut, you must actually click the cell of
