In Edgy, behaviour has changed. When mounting on /mnt, icons etc. do not
appear, even when it's indicated in Nautilus settings (show volumes).
When mounting on /media, icons appear. This is changed from Dapper,
because in Dapper it doesn't matter if you're mounting to /mnt or
/media, icons ALWAYS
@Rouben. Yes this happens with Totem as well, even with the same error
message. Originally I filed two separate bugs, one for Gedit and one for
Totem. Caroline Ford has merged the two into one as shown in an earlier
comment; the Totem-bug is apparantly completely wiped away, I cannot
find this one

Strange thing is that the Reversed order menu item (or something like

Hardy). It's not necessary anymore to remount drives.

I installed bochsbios-qemu (2.3.5-1ubuntu1) from

Apparently, the mentioned folder disappears after a reboot. Strange
thing is that simple stopping and starting the server does *not* remove
the folder, but as mentioned, a reboot does remove the folder.
So, it was not sufficient to create and set rights to the folder once.

'unix extensions = no'. This is working OK for me. I have not tried the
client-side solution like you have used, so I can not comment on that.

If you disable sound (do not record sound) by remove the checkmark
before label 'Sound Quality', you will be able to record video info,
though, obviously, without any sound recorded. So this has something to

In a GNOME-environment (Ubuntu), the browser to start should look at the
following location in gconf-editor:
/desktop/gnome/applications/browser/exec (currently in my situation: firefox)

When vi is set in insert mode by hitting insert or 'i', the status bar
on the bottom is not updated so it is not clear what the current status
is (insert mode or not). However, vi is indeed set to insert mode
because typing is possible.

Point taken. But why is it that this function is introduced in Edgy,
while in Dapper it functions like vim. It looks like functionality once
build into vi from vim, is taken out again. I do not understand this.
Cursor keys not working in Edgy+ is another example of mimic vi more to the
original
Edgy, gThump 2.7.9.
Problem indeed seems to be solved in gThumb 2.9.3 (Feisty).

Tested that in gThumb 2.9.3. Seems to work fine so this bug can be
closed.

Confirmed on AGFA SnapScan e20.
In my case, opening xsane results in a dialog teling ther are no devieces found.
Scanner worked flawlessly under Edgy.

'unix extension = no'. That's what I did and that triggered this bug (224317).

Apparantly, this bug can only reproduced when 'unix extensions = no' is set on
the server side. Ironicaly, I changed that setting (it was set to the default,
so 'yes') because of this bug (also discovered by me):
