I have the same bug description on 7.04 and 7.10 on 2 different laptops.
While the ppp connection is launched correctly, the nm-applet just show
the no connection icon.
However, contrary to current bug description, the logs don't show the message :

1) installed nautilus-dbgsym like described in

3) attached a gdb to nautilus, change gdb options as said in

It seems I have the same problem on Hardy with another piece of html I
copied/paste from the web onto an odt.
