[Bug 1350747] [NEW] Black screen after lock or switch user
Public bug reported: This started about a week ago, I started getting very frequent problems with lockscreen and switching users. After using either of them never brings the system back. Most of the time I just get a black screen (sometimes with mouse cursor). The system seems to respond to keyboard but the display is broken. [Bug 624566] Re: Enhancement: Middle click to close tab (like Firefox)
I find the reasoning not valid. This would definitely be a useful feature. Closing tabs with a middle click is a de facto standard in almost all browsers: Firefox, Google Chrome, even Internet Explorer (!) "Having tabs disappear if a user accidentally middle clicks anwhere inside them is confusing." is not convincing at all. How about accidental left clicks on the close button (which is WAY more likely since people switch tabs with left mouse button, and they NEVER use mid clicks on tabs except for closing). [Bug 1077395] [NEW] LibreOffice writer refuses to show any dialog

[Bug 1072319] [NEW] Impossible to navigate word list with keyboard
Public bug reported: It's not possible to use keyboard to browse via different entries in the word list: the list loses focus on any selection change. When focus is in the search box, fisrt press of the Down key selects the word list and then the selection immediatly disappears. [Bug 1072314] [NEW] File list selection is lost after any command
Public bug reported: Whenever I run any command on the file list, for example Diff To Head (Ctrl+H), or commit, or whatever, including even displaying a context menu on right-click (!), the file list seems to be refreshed and the current selection is lost. [Bug 879960] [NEW] Impossible to get contact list visible in Unity after reboot
Public bug reported: If Pidgin is listed in the Startup Applications, and I close the main (Contact List) window (but it is still running of course), then, after reboot: - Contact List window is hidden - There's a button of running Pidgin in the launcher, - But there's no way to make the main window visible: clicking on the Launcher button or in the Message Indicator -> Pidgin Internet Messenger doesn't do anything. The only way to bring it back is to right click on the Launcher button, choose Quit, restart it again (it's still invisible), and then use Message Indicator -> Pidgin Internet Messenger. Even after restarting the app the Launcher button doesn't do anything if the main window was hidden before quitting, which is obviously wrong: there either should be no button, or it should make the window visible. Public bug reported: If I rename a file in-place (with the F2 key), and the name of the file is long enough to not fit in the window, it isn't scrolled when the cursor is beyond the window edge. So you basically don't see it and you can't see what you're editing. [Bug 741423] Re: cannot click on indicators to the left of date/time
Will anyone do something about that? That's really annoying: I have to restart Unity every time upon login, otherwise most of my indicators are unreachable. I can't imagine how people use Unity with such a bug, which is 100% reproducible every time. Maybe it has something to do with screen resolution: I use iMac 27" with native 2560x1440 resolution. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/741423 Title: cannot click on indicators to the left of date/time To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/741423/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 643298] Re: newly installed apps dont appear in applications unless unity is restarted
This bug isn't fixed, or there's a regression. I've just installed VirtualBox from Oracle's Debian repository, but if I type 'virtual' in the search field it isn't listed. However, if I browse to "More Apps", I see it there. Please reopen. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/643298 Title: newly installed apps dont appear in applications unless unity is restarted To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-menus/+bug/643298/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 793677] [NEW] Cut, copy, paste, undo keybindings don't work in the search edit
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity If I press Ctrl+Z, Ctrl+X, Ctrl+C or Ctrl+V in the search edit field in Unity, instead of corresponding undo/clipboard operations weird characters are inserted in the field. [Bug 741423] Re: cannot click on indicators to the left of date/time
I confirm this one. Most of the indicator menu cannot be opened by clicking. They are only accessible if you open some other indicator menu and then move the mouse to the desired indicator. Although not all the indicators to the left of the clock are not clickable, but most of them. Also, goldendict's tray icon never shows up (filter is already set to 'all'). Both problems are gone is I restart Unity. ** Changed in: unity Status: Invalid => Confirmed ** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/741423 Title: cannot click on indicators to the left of date/time -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 779374] [NEW] Apply disabled when trying to completely remove items with residual config
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: synaptic If there are items with the status "Not installed (residual config)" and you mark them for complete removal, the Apply button (as well as the Apply Marked Changes menu item) remains disabled. The only way to remove such items is combining this change with others, like installing a new or removing an installed package. I also attach a screenshot of how it looks like.
