Unfortunately I have not idea how to find out wether dmraid or mdadm is used (or even both). Btw. as far as I can see the system is using lvm on top of the raid with an unencrypted boot partition and encrypted root and swap partitions. This was not my idea but was proposed by the ubuntu installer.
