Since the latest dist-upgrade to Alpha-6 the login-background-picture
has been replaced by an actually nice blue screen with a gradient. But
exactly this gradient produces Moiré pattern with my LCD sreen (a quite
good 1920x1200 Dell-laptop-display). (see
Meanwhile, I found, that amarok recognizes the play/pause buttons.
The change volume/mute can be easily set up in KMix with changing the
global settings. But after all, the nice change-volume-popup does not
appear and this should work out of the box, imho.

Thanks for your hint, it was an dependency problem: the package
openoffice.org-kde was not installed - so installing it solved the
problem. But on which package should it depend? My openoffice.org-
package is not installed (even broken) but openoffice.org-common and
openoffice.org-core are.

on a friend's Laptop there is also 2-3 pixel area at the bottom of the
panel where the wallpaper shines through. It runs the latest Gutsy with
Riddell's KDE4-Repository and has an ATI x1400 with the latest
proprietary drivers. So i don't know if this is related, but disableing
the desktop effekts

I reported the same bug somewhere else... turns out it was an duplicate.
I'd really appreciate this bug to be fixed. I also consider it as some
