Apparently this is a debian packaging issue: https://github.com/clementine-player/Clementine/issues/3847 But still, I file this here as it is Ubuntu for the end user that screws things up - either go back to libsqllite 3.7 oder provide a properly built Clementine... shouldn't be hard to fix this! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1315667 Title: Search makes Clementine hang To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/clementine/+bug/1315667/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hello EXPIRED??? This is a VERY VERY VERY SERIOUS BUG that needs attention! You are practically DESTROYING hardware with that! I am sorry that I cannot help you in bisecting a kernel - this is way beyond what I as a user can do! So PLEASE - get serious and help me. Ubuntu 13.10 - still same problem. How am I going to do this? The most recent release that worked was 12.04. Thanks for your explanations. I am still very confused why such a thing with a common Core i7 processor can happen. Christopher, this bug is STILL there! Nothing changed. I booted the daily live current from USB, went into suspend and there it is again, the CPU heats and heats without any fan helping to cool. [Bug 1179863] [NEW] Unity Launcher loses keyboard focus when quickly typing and selecting application
Public bug reported: In the current Unity version of Raring, when I open the launcher (Super- Key) and quickly type what I'm looking for (e.g. "Libr..." for Libre Writer), as soon as I see what I'm looking for start using the cursor keys to move there by keyboard, suddenly the keyboard focus is lost - no movement, typing whatsoever is possible anymore. You can simple NOT use the Launcher solely with the keyboard this way. It is distracting and wrong. I don't even know what the focus is lost for, meaning where it is after it happens! Public bug reported: This is a terrible bug: I have my speakers attached to my monitor, so sound is played via Displayport audio. No problem at all. [Bug 1178332] [NEW] Standby does not work anymore - system drains battery and overheats
Public bug reported: Could somebody PLEASE take action on this terrible BUG I filed a bug (#1153217) MONTHS ago to tell you that system standby on a fairly standard laptop (Dell XPS 17) with Core i7 simple DOES NOT WORK any more!! You can initiate the standby mode, but the system stays HOT, I even suspect overheating as the fans are completely shut off, but the processor is apparently still running!!! On battery it takes 2 hours or so, then it's EMPTY. This is a MAJOR problem present for MONTHS now and makes Ubuntu practically unusable. [Bug 1096314] [NEW] Minimizing full screen Virtualbox re-draws full screen with Virtualbox image
Public bug reported: This is a strange bug that is present since the update of 12.10 now. When I run Virtualbox (guest OS is Win 8, but that does not matter I guess) and I minimize this full screen window, the Unity desktop re- appears as expected, but only fractions of a second later, the Virtualbox screen (my Win 8) re-appears! It is just a grapical bug, it's just the still image that is re- displayed full screen, if you click on any (not visible) Unity window, the screen is correctly displayed. But if you happen to click on the background (not a window), nothing happens, the Virtualbox Image still covers everything. Public bug reported: Whenever I use Gimp, with the first mouse click in the image (e.g. selecting a region or ANYTHING else) - my Ubuntu session is immediately killed - all windows disappear and I return to the login screen of Ubuntu. No matter what was running - it is closed and lost. There are no other signs I can see, simply nothing. I have never experienced anything like this before and I do only get this when using Gimp, no other programs cause problems! How can I track this down? I am using the regular Ubuntu version of Gimp 2.6 that comes from the repositories! [Bug 993013] [NEW] Dashboard-Tooltip hides input in Ubuntu search lens
Public bug reported: When you click on the Ubuntu logo to open the lens and want to start typing a search string, the (in German) tooltip saying "Dash-Startseite" still stays on screen. Thus, you cannot see what you type! The only workaround is to click the Ubuntu logo, move away the mouse pointer and then start typing what you look for... This is really distracting. In other software, tooltips automatically disappear when a user starts typing! Please fix this... [Bug 993011] [NEW] Unity captures keypress even within VirtualBox although it shouldn't
Public bug reported: When within a virtual box, all keypresses belong to the virtual machine. To gain access to the host OS, you normally have to press the defined Host-key in virtual box. E.g. if you switch windows within a virtual Windows OS inside Virtual box, your Alt-Tab directly goes to Windows. Now, with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS a single keypress which also MUST stay within VirtualBox instead opens the lenses menu search function. It shouldn't. It's massive distractive and not the expected behavior. [Bug 992416] [NEW] Launcher and menu bar are distorted even after screen blank (timeout)
Public bug reported: In Ubuntu 11.10 and before, I often had distorted Unity launcher and title/menu bar after a suspend/resume cycle - but now, with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, this happens even when the screen blanks because of timeout and I wake it up again. My screen saver is set to just switch of the screens after 10 minutes. When I move the mouse or touch a key, they switch on again - but both Unity launcher AND title/menu bar show distortion in the form of blocks. Hard to describe and I am NOT able to take a screenshot of this as while trying to do so, apparently they get a refresh. Another way to get a refresh is to move the mouse into the launcher or click the title bar, sometimes I also have to click e.g. the calendar indicator to make it refresh. There seems to be one automatic refresh missing after screens go on again! [Bug 992403] [NEW] Shotwell does not appear in Launcher as running nor in Alt-Tab sequence
Public bug reported: Right after upgrade to 12.04 LTS I notice that Shotwell, when started, does NOT appear in the launcher bar at all. But then you notice that while it is running, the icon is not decorated with a * to indicate a running application. [Bug 948214] [NEW] Clicking breadcrumb does not select panel in Nautilus
Public bug reported: This is a real show-stopper for using more than one panel. When showing an additional view on a directory using the F3 functionality "additional panel" (don't know the English translation for it, in German: "zusätzliche Leiste") you see two different locations side-by-side. This is nice and really handy. What really is inconsistent: to switch between them you have to click inside the main area, clicking on the breadcrumb above each panel does not switch the focus at all, the click is ignored completely! I would definitely expect this to work as I always fall for that, wanting to switch directories in one panel by clicking on its bread crumb - with no effect. I wanted to burn the image of Ubuntu Oneiric, 64bit - but either the dialog shows a free space of a few MB for a completely new CD-R OR when I start the system, insert the disc again, it seems to work and shows 730MB free, but crashes immediately when selecting the image and the drive. Bad!!! How am I supposed to work with that??? [Bug 875833] Re: Unity launcher lens has inconsistent keyboard response
Ubuntu Oneiric, 64bit! ** Description changed: When I use the launcher lens (the menu, you know what I mean...) to start a program I usually type until the desired program appears in the list of matches - and because I am a "keyboard guy", I stay there and want to use the cursor keys to quickly hit Enter on the already displayed match. But that does not work properly! In my attached example, I type "virtu" because I want to start VirtualBox. It's the only match, it's displayed very quickly and from a UI standpoint I know instinctively hit the Down arrow key to get to that match. But that does not work!!! Somehow the focus it now somewhere "in the middle", unseen, undisplayed and completely useless. I suspect the category, "Anwendungen" in my case, now has the keyboard focus, but that's completely nonsense! You can't do anything there! Thus, you need to hit Down a second time to get to the VirtualBox program icon! WHY??? Where's the usability? Even if I got several matches, that makes no sense at all. 1) because you can't SEE the focus -> VERY bad! 2) because you can't DO anything with that focus!! PLEASE fix this issue, it's driving me crazy!!! (have a look at MacOS to see good usability... ;-)) + + Ubuntu Oneiric, 64bit. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/875833 Title: Unity launcher lens has inconsistent keyboard response To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/875833/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: Since I installed Chrome as a SECONDARY browser on my system, apport-bug starts Launchpad there instead of in Firefox!! [Bug 875789] [NEW] Epson USB printer not detected
