I can confirm that this issue not only effects my machine, but also my mums and my girlfriends (both of which use Karmic - not Lucid). So this issue is not just limited to a specific machine, nor a specific distribution. It is pretty random, sometimes it'll do it twice in 10 boots, others it'll
