Since a recent update i've noticed a few enhancements and improvements
on Ubuntu 13.04.
I've made a try on the latest beta and no disconnections have occured
thru my usage ...

About this kernel-ppa 3.8-rc1, i've just end to try this but no wifi at
all.
I have to reboot my computer to the previous i've used, following is the
test i've made to try this kernel.

Hello everybody,
Since kernel-ppa i've no longer need to reboot my computer to activate
wifi, only thing needed is to deactivate and reactivate wifi.
That's an improvement (for me), no longer need to connect an ethernet
cable while wifi disconnects ...

I've found on ubuntuforums.org a way to track why wifi is stuck (it
seems to be solved for some users at least) :

Hello. I think I am affected by this bug too. My wifi just disconnected
with no reason, and then I saw the networks but I could not reconnect,
it kepts asking me the wifi passwords..
Whenever I suspend my laptop to RAM, I am nearby assured I won't get a
working wifi chipset at the wake up. This
guillaume le louet, if you have a bug in Ubuntu, could you please file a new

About bios updates, everything is up to date.
Wifi network is secured (WPA2-PSK AES only).
No MAC Filtering.
Firewall is active from the setup of my wireless router.
cant access beacon interval on my router.
No tweaking on my wireless router since i've installed Ubuntu 12.04, a few
