Unfortunately this won't get fixed in aptdaemon. That package is unmaintained and does not build in Zesty any more because it uses obsolete APIs. This bug isn't worth fixing aptdaemon for and really, aptdaemon should eventually get removed from Ubuntu (it's already dropped in Debian). **
