process finishes successfully, but people end up in having corrupted
files. I think this behavior is easily repeated by other people and
could do a lot of harm.
So please, set the priority to 'critical' (or high). For example,

The silliness (or ignorance) is with me, not your question.
I had not added sudo as a prefix. I've now tried and it works fine as you
suggested and update manager is installing new updates. As you'll
understand I'm fairly new to Linux.

However, Baobab reports I have hard links in the folders - after
expanding the folders, I think it accounts for all the 'lost' space
inside Baobab.
Thus, I went to a folder which showed empty and remove a character. Now,
Baobab show this file in the summary. If

I have a USB device, on which I've put some music (11 MP3 files). Because I
want Rhythmbox to play the music, I created an .is_audio_player file with the

I installed kdesdk-dbg and crashed the application, but the KDE Crash
Handler did not show up (I actually never saw the program).
So, I tried to produce a backtrace with gdb, but after the program freezes
