I NEVER want to boot in BIOS mode. But the installer includes 1 MB

Why must I reserve 2 (count them 2) 1 MB partitions if I am never going

that LibreOffice could do this. I started LibreOffice and selected the
.tiff files. LibreOffice immediately tried to open 500+ new windows. I
tried to close LibreOffice but got an error window warning

Yes< I was using the Disks app from the Control Center. I used gParted
and solved the problem. Unfortunately I have had to reinstall Ubuntu 3
times since then, so additional data is not available. (Always keep you
data in a separate partition from the Linux partition. Then

the partition as ext4. If this works (can copy 1.5TB in less than 2

still there. And I had to reinstall Linux afterwards just to get a
working system. After having to reinstall Linux six times I'm getting
tired of it.

First my system became incredibly slow (consistent with the memory leak
in Caja). I xKill Caja and then tried to restart it. I then closed every
app and tried to do a shutdown. I got a warning that Caja still had
processes running preventing shutdown. I chose shut down

rebooted. Still none of my external USB 3 drives appear

execute $VISUALWORKS/bin/linuxx86_64/vwlinuxx86_64

After installing the latest Ubuntu MATE 14.10 and rebooting my system,
one of my external USB 3 drives with NTFS became unusable. I got
permission errors when I tried to update the drive. When I used Caja to
check the permissions they had been changed from robert to root. I
Apparently only Caja opened as superuser is allowed to read the
partition label. Non superuser windows can only display the volume size.
In addition, the non-superuser window shows the partitions of my
internal drives that the superuser version leaves out.

Finally! After only 5 years beingf reported! Code can be easily
corrected by copying the duplex-printing code from any other app like
Atril, FireFox, Chromium, etc.—they all work.
