I have a Cowon iAudioF2 generic portable music player. Under Gutsy
Gibbon with Amarok 1.4.8, the device worked fine and Amarok was able to
configure and sync playlists to the player. After installing Hardy
Heron, Amarok no longer is able to configure the device. I can
Synaptic installed several updates this morning after I posted this bug.
The updates seem to have resolved the problem as Amarok is now able to
manage the device. Thanks to the Ubuntu developers for fixing this.

I just upgraded the nvidia driver for my geforce 7600gs to 180.06 and my
artifact problems are gone (along with some weird window drawing errors
I was having). The driver is available from nvidia.com's driver beta
section.

I installed Karmic yesterday and have installed all available updates.
Pulseaudio was using over 300mb of memory a few minutes ago. I issued
the command 'pulseaudio -k' and memory usage dropped back down under
2mb. After 10 minutes however, it's crept back up to over 14 mb and is
still climbing.
Martin Pitt's workaround above works nicely. When this is solved and a
fix is released, will UDEV upgrade or will it stick to the downgraded
version?

Well, you're right. It's not an appropriate workaround after all. My USB
ports wouldn't work with UDEV downgraded. I'm back to square one and a
major memory leak.
I sure hope this gets resolved quickly.

I can verify that this applet is not working in Jaunty 32-bit or 64-bit.
No errors are thrown. Things that are deleted using the delete key do
not appear in the awn trash applet's trash folder.

The trash path in Nautilus is not broken and the Ubuntu Jaunty trash
panel applet works fine. Ubuntu or Gnome must have changed the path
again. This seems to affect both of AWN's trash applets. As mentioned
above though, the nautilus path to trash is show as trash:///
So, I just upgraded to Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex. Guess what? The trash
applet seems to work now.

I have a 3840x2160 at 150% and 2560x1440 monitor at 100% and have to set
up displays each time I log
I have a Dell u3219q 32" and Dell p4317q with this issue. I'm trying to
set 150% on the 32" and 125% on the 43", but it just goes to 200% and or
goes blank. And things reset after every reboot, i.e. scaling goes
wrong, monitor positioning changes, etc.
My workaround is to set fractional scaling
Still can't use different scales on my monitors. Need to set 125% on my
32" and 150% on my 43", but it freaks out even with the update on the
proposed channel. Still have to set 150% only on the 32", let it jump
both monitors to 200%, then tweak it in nvidia-settings.

system? It looks as if the kernel is having trouble interacting with
the file system. Perhaps adding some files to your report such as

I believe with edgy, there is no more /etc/inittab. This is probably
left over from your Dapper install. Edit your /etc/default/console-
setup file. There is a variable called
ACTIVE_CONSOLES=/dev/tty[1-6] edit that to suite your needs,
reboot and that should fix it for you.

Er let me correct myself. Knot 2 and below still used the old init
system, but since Knot3 was released (technically before...) upstart is
the init system. This does not use /etc/inittab.
