ones that depend on those things, and on up the tree, it could be doable.
Except for cyclical dependencies. For those, you'd need to get both downloaded
before running dpkg on them.

I've just written here to understand why these things are not present
(yet? or possible bugs?) in the current notify-osd, and if they were
eventually changed without updating the spec site.

Are you sure you need a whole driver for it? Is there a PPD file inside the
rpm? If so, that PPD should be able to just drop in.

being protected
NoScript addon installed by default would probably fall into the security
that's too disruptive category, I'm guessing?

years now and it seems to be working out very well.
There was a significant problem with the old icon (2 monitors), it was
*totally* mysterious (what 2 monitors have to do with network
connection?) and we had many complaints.
What about a greyed-out icon?
