After this I've not seen this phenomenon again. However it's sad the kdm
won't start early as before the workaround. I wonder which start-up
script confuse the kdm mind.

I just retraced my steps to reproduce it, and it indeed happened again.
Adding a podcast feed while playing internet radio does seem to make
rhythmbox crash.
I'll retrace it again with debug symbols installed and report back
what's going on.

Yes, moving S13kdm to S99kdm also works on my system. This is because I can see
for a moment the TTY1 console before the kdm login screen.
Moving S13kdm to S21kdm does not work, so the scripts that are run in the

I'm seeing something like this as well. Every time I log into
thunderbird and click the Get Mail button, the program crashes with a
segfault. So far, it is 100% reproducible. Turning off the allow other
fonts feature doesn't seem to help.

I have a similar problem with the scrollbar in firefox 2 (and latest
thunderbird too), when i scroll a grey line (horizontal) stays there even if i
move the bar.
I don't know why but it doesn't show up in a screenshot, but i can draw it to
explain what i mean if needed.

I have to reopen this bug. If laptop-detect (inside /etc/init/vbesave)

I've found a big memory leak in gnome-session. I think it might be on
the ubuntu patch to the logout dialog but I haven't tested the package
without that patch yet to be sure.

1. Open a terminal and run 'top' on it sorting the processes by memory

that it would fail without at least four non-empty directories within
the user's home directory, either on the package description or a pop-up
in the game itself. The error would likely happen on clean
installations of Ubuntu
I deleted debian/patches/11_session_dialog.patch and rebuilt the
package.
I tested with:
$ gnome-session-save --gui --kill
and the results with the upstream logout dialog are the same. i.e. there's a
memory leak somewhere and it's not on ubuntu's dialog. I'm sorry for pointing

This sounds similar to what I've experienced.
To reproduce consistently:
- Load my keyboard theme (attached) by copying to .themes/mine/xfwm4/
and choosing the keyboard theme mine.
- In .config/xfce4/mcs_settings/wmtweaks.xml, change
Xfwm/ToggleWorkspaces to 0.
- (Perhaps) restart XFCE
