the dock only uses a gdk_move_resize, so the bug would be in GDK, but I
don't think so.
for me, it's the WM's job to correctly
please see the wiki for a solution to this problem (which is a gvfs

Hi,
I can add the following information:
the dock browses recursively the URI trash:/ and gets the size of each file,
using g_file_enumerate_children with G_FILE_QUERY_INFO_NOFOLLOW_SYMLINKS.
I've personnally noticed that the whole process takes a lot of time when
there are a lot of files,
Hi,
do you have the same problem using Nautilus ?
also, is this problem new ? do you think it's related to the new version of
the dock or the one of Ubuntu ?

Binary package hint: cairo-dock
Dear all,
After upgrading
we should link this bug to the graphic drivers team.
I have the same graphic card and no problem under Karmic.

Hey, just one question. Could I use your weekly ppa – is the package

cairo-dock with OpenGL
thanks for the debug trace !
so the line that crashees is the following:
gdk_display_get_pointer (gdk_display_get_default(), NULL, x, y, NULL);
I can't imagine in which way this function could crash (it's only a wrapper
to X functions)
so either we have a complete mess in the program's memory, or
hmm, hard to say if the system is broken or if the dock is. I have a Intel
945 graphic card under Karmic, and have no problem so far.
so cairo-dock -c is working fine, but cairo-dock -o is not ? what if you
deactivate some applets (especially Scooby-Do which is unstable)
also, could you please try
ok so not a problem in the plug-ins.
since cairo-dock -c works fine, I'm thinking of a problem with the drivers
under Karmic.
could you please run in debug mode (cairo-dock -o -l debug log.txt) and
post here the content of log.txt ? thanks !

Hi,
thanks for reporting this.
I myself use 2 docks at once with no problem, but I'll try to reproduce it.
