Experimente a linha ps2pdf nome_do_arquivo.doc nome_do_arquivo.pdf
(sem as aspas, mas colocando os nomes entre aspas se contiverem espaços).
Funciona para arquivos DOC... Agora é testar para DOCX! :)

Nada contra o .doc, mas se o serviço é de impressão, baseá-lo no .doc é um
rico para o aluno e para a gráfica. Qualquer serviço mínimo de impressão tem
suporte à pdf e ps. Fora isso é risco demais. Nem o próprio MSOffice garante
a formatação em caso de mudança de máquina. Continuo te sugerindo que

Каким образом заставить ubuntu 8.04.1 поддерживать разные языки для
локали и интерфейса?
Вот содержимое /etc/environment:
LANGUAGE=en_US:en
LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8
Вот /etc/default/locale
LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8
LANGUAGE=en_US:en
И тем не менее, после перезагрузки переменная LANGUAGE не

А на самом деле проблема в том, что все переменные связанные с локалью

Привет!
Возникла проблема, после перезагрузки ноутбука (IBM ThinkPad Z60t) пропал звук!
До этого проблема тоже возникала. Звук то работал нормально, то тихо,
то совсем исчезал.
Причем я не вижу ни какой связи между моими действиями за компьютером
и тем как работает звук.

Система Ubuntu 8.04.1, Virtualbox 2.0.2
Собственно есть такая задачка по настройке параллельного
запуска Гнома на стандартной консоли tty7, и
Virtualbox например на tty6, в фуллскрин режиме.
Возможна ли такая комбинация?

Работа с 1с sql версия:) пытался запустить под вайн, но так и не получилось,
ошибка SQL, в общем уперся... Решил обойти.
Кроме того машина в общем пользовании, кто то понимает Убунту кто-то нет.

вообще чистятся перед запуском gnome (gtk?) приложения.
Т.е. я устанавливаю, например, LC_MESSAGES - и оно обратно пустое после
запуска терминала и НЕ-пустое при
