Just tried Reinhart Tartler 2.4 from ppa and doesn't work either. I attach the log. Good. That was what I expected, since the 2.4.1 from that PPA contains the patch from post-2.4.1. What would be good news, is if we could revert the patch in question from that package and it would then work.
