Hi Everybody !
Can anybody explain where I can find full ready for installation
_ISO_image_ of Squeeze on Arch ?
Hi Nikolay.
For reasons which I believe are to do with prudently avoiding potential
legal minefields, SoA is installed only via the mechanism explained in
Besides the legal issues - Squeeze on Arch is a generic solution to
providing Squeeze - the SoA approach works for Arch on different
architecture such as ARM7 / Arm 9 and x86/i686 systems.
If someone offers you an ISO image of SoA - you will need to make the
underlying system matches your own -
Having had great success with picoreplayer and IQAudio's PiDAC, I
recently got myself a Pi B+ and ordered a PiDAC+ which has just arrived.
Of course I didn't think that it might not work!! Problem is that when
the IQaudio setting is enabled in the squeezelite menu the pi refuses to
communicate

Steen,
I've continued to trouble-shoot my last 10 second glitch and have
definitely decided it has to do with Squeezelite. I had conversations
with Triode, and he thinks the output buffer might need to be increased.
This was his input on the subject:
This sounds like the problem is decoding

I'd prove it works first with local files or a known lms instance. you

Thx for your reply.
I can't make spdif output work, maybe my cable or dac... Anyway, the usb
output works fine. Thx again!

There was a hardware problem with spdif on WB dual. See

I originally thought that setting was the source of the problem (no

One more thing, and I'm not going to explain why, other than to say it
might be down to pico using an older version of squeezelite, unless you
answer yes to the next question Are you resampling/upsampling with
squeezelite?

I actually just confirmed this glitch is only applicable to the built-in
audio output of both the B and B+ running 1.17a. Using the HiFiBerry

Post #1. Distribution of full ready for installation *ISO images* is
apparently best avoided.

I suspect that not many people use analogue out. Seems to me, that a lot
of people use either an I2S DAC or HDMI.
Ya, the built-in audio is junk, and I plan to get a HiFiBerry Digi+ or
DAC+ soon enough. But I would still like to know understand what

If you're using accents or German umlauts in your SSID or PSK, then --
sorry to say -- the issue is not picoreplayer but it's a case of PEBKAC.

I had to change my pw because of the special chars.
Reading this thread back there were problems, some probably in the web
interface, which did not cope well with some special chars.
I eventually gave up (a pity because i use a long password, and have
lots of devices without keyboard)

Hi SamS,
I often used Analogue out (into a set of ear buds) while I'm working on
piCorePlayer.
