Thanks so much for the response and for enabling LMS to utilize the
newer perl version in ubuntu 16.04. I've been a squeezebox user for
many years and am so thankful there are folks continually updating LMS
for the new OS releases and to add or improve features. The new

Right. Is the OP having an issue with PiCorePlayer the reason this
issue is raised on Pi github. I thought this was a Raspbian issue.
It sure hasn't been noticed by me, as I posted in the github
report..

No, the server needs to be restarted, but that's OK. For me, it's a

Hi BPA
but does lms recon that common favorite file when you add/delete a
favorite in the webgui /cli?
Never tried

You can make your common favorite file a submenu off the LMS favorites.
Call your common favorites a name such as commonfav.opml and then on
each LMS make a favorite entry "Common Favorite" and use a "file://" URL
to point to location of common favorite file.

Yes
Hi,
i would use a script that
- echos all the lines from fav.opml into a fav.opml.servername
- catches all fav.opml.* and stores the input into "the"
favorites.opml stored in the prefs folder and @ the end do a sort
-unique to that file.
- maybe i even would add a line in between these

take a look
Just because I like to keep things as convoluted and complicated as
possible, I run multiple server instances under Debian, Ubuntu and
whatever Max2Play uses (Raspian?). I have a common favorites.opml for
all of them stored in a common playlists location. I've been able to
create symlinks in

I haven't seen your posts in main pCp thread.
I don't think there is anything else he needs. He has QNAP and pCp/LMS
working just not on static IPs.
He himself has recognised that as it stands the IP of the QNAP could
change and break his mount point. I am just trying to point him in the
right

Cause we already knew nothing about his setup.
A player doesnt need a static Ip Adress, a Server (like i wrote a few
answers back) needs it.
It would be nice when Mr. Nervotestosteron

Second question first. You can but you shouldn't. Those IPs are part of
the DHCP range and could get given to another

Haven't seen those posts about DSTM and Spotify that DjanGo quotes in
this thread, but for what it's worth:
On Friday evening, I replaced a Pi 1B with a Pi 3, running
piCorePlayer/LMS (files on the QNAP). I find DSTM with Spotify
recommendations works

Hi
I cant seem seem to get jivelite to start correctly on pi bootup without
getting a segmentation violation. If I start it from a logon session it
works fine. Here is what I hae tried:
Option 1:
(a) PI does not startup Xwindows on startup
(b) /home/pi/jivelite/bin/jivelite & added to
Next release of pcp should resolve that.due out very soon

If the QNAP changes IP you will have to redo the connection in
PiCorePlayer and it will probably need a rescan.
Assuming your router is 192.168.1.1
Go to Network in QNAP and set the static address to
IP address 192.168.1.2
Net mask 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.1.1
DNS 8.8.8.8
DNS2 8.8.4.4
Hi,

You probably won't need to start over. Just connect it to the LAN and
switch audio output to "Analog

Hi togehther,
I've just bought 2 Rasperry Pi3 together with 2 HifiBerry DAC+ Pro. I
set them first up using the Analog:audio setting using the inbuilt Jack
plug.
As well usiing the LAN and WLAN in my Home Network works perfect.
As soon as i set the Audio Output to "I2Saudio: HiFiberryDAC+" and
