If the QNAP changes IP you will have to redo the connection in PiCorePlayer and it will probably need a rescan.
Assuming your router is 192.168.1.1 Go to Network in QNAP and set the static address to IP address 192.168.1.2 Net mask 255.255.255.0 Gateway 192.168.1.1 DNS 8.8.8.8 DNS2 8.8.4.4 Reboot the QNAP and make it responds on 192.168.1.2 Then redo the mount in piCorePlayer to use the new address. If you use the same mount name you may get away without rescanning. I'd give the Pi a fixed IP of 192.168.1.3 while I was at it. If your router isn't 192.168.1.1 then substitute accordingly. The DHCP range is very unlikely to include 2 & 3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ d6jg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44051 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105952 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
