Previous Audio versions were not Real Time kernels. Server software
does not perform well in a Real Time environment. The switch to a real
time kernel was to make the "audio" better.

Using wireshark to see what happens when LMS issues GET for the mp3
file.
The log shows the following
Code:
[18-04-11 15:11:21.1358] Slim::Networking::Async::connect (108) Connecting to
media.rozhlas.cz:80
[18-04-11 15:11:21.1870]
The ffmpeg log show using http 1.1 - does it use the same TCP
connection used for mulitple GETs - LMS only support HTTP 1.0 - I
wonder if there is different behaviour if connection is made with HTTP
1.0.
This use of partial content - looks like a poor man's chunked http
Thank you very much for this detailed analysis. I might need to look
into supporting the partial content streams.
After I've looked into this issue a little more, I wonder whether their
server isn't mis-configured. I do understand that some tools work their
way around it, while LMS doesn't.
OK - found Michaels post camparing different RPi's:

Hello, would it be possible to implement ser2net in pcp? I would use it
to send artist- and track informations to a moving sign display. thx
You'd have to implement this as a LMS plugin, rather than on pCP.

I had been running 3.22 Audio without any problems and expected an easy
upgrade to 3.5.0 Audio. Unfortunately, I spent number of fruitless
evenings trying to get a version of 3.5.0 Audio & LMS to run stably (in
most cases at some point in the set-up it - usually after LMS was
installed - it just
