Depending on where you got your board from, it may not have the latest firmware. I just checked, and RPI has moved the VLI chipset update to critical status. You can update using pCP, but you need to follow these instructions.

That is a really good question. The Pi4 with throttle itself, so you won't hurt it with no heatsink. What kind of case do you have? You can graph your CPU temp. Enable Beta mode in pCP. Click on the Extras Button Click on CPU Temp You will see a graph that looks like a "V" (That means
