It says the sample rate of the DSF file is 2822.4 kHz (I guess that's
DSD64). So it is lower than the DSD128 standard.

No dsd transcoding going on.

On the DAC front, HiFiBerry and IQaudIO offer basic boards for well
under $30 that snap onto the RPi. Current versions of pCP include
drivers for both.

The problem you describe about "low volume levels" doesn't sound normal.
I haven't seen it, but your hardware may be different.
Most DAC HATs have a 0dB or a 4dB boost

Based on comments from others, installing LMS on a Pi 4 results in much
faster scanning of your music collection. This may not matter to you if
your collection is not large or if you

I have an LMS server running on an older distribution of PCP (5.0) with
the built-in 7.9.2 version of LMS. I have 2 hardware players (an
original SlimP3, and a Squeezebox Receiver, the player that's built into
the server, and two more Pi's running various vintages of PCP.

I tried "0:dop" instead of ":dop", but this did not make any
difference.
Here is my command string:

Thanx for the update. I did an insitu update (Pi4 with 7.01 before) with
LMS and everything seams to be ok except one thing: Shutdown GPIO.
On 7.01 was ok
(dtoverlay=gpio-shutdown,gpio_pin=3,active_low=0,gpio_pull=down) but
after update it fails (working like a stop button).
I've now been able to pair but not connect the headphones. Essentially,
whenever I try to connect the headphones or to show the bluetooth log,
the BT Speaker Daemon stops.
Maybe I should say that this is a Pi1B - I was in error in an earlier
post - with the Cirrus (Wolfson) DAC card which works
paul- wrote:

I just started the BT Speaker Daemon, and tried scanning for the BT
device. Each time, the BT Speaker Daemon stops. I can see this in the
log:
Code:

Thank you very much that the controls of the bluetooth headphones are
now working out of the box together with piCorePlayer.

The pcm in pcm1794a is a clue. There is often a dsd twin.

The DSDPlay plugin for LMS was already installed.

Hi, the HDMIpi transmitter is a HAT board for sending i2s digital audio
from the GPIO port as balanced LVDS format. And for this a HDMI port and
cables is used.
I am a little confused about you talking about HDMI and i2s. HDMI has
limitations.

hi carsten_h,
I can't give you a definite answer but... here's a guess.
I believe in pCP7 there was a problem getting the card name (from USB
DAC) which caused errors restoring asound.state.
The USB restart scripts worked around this.
Maybe because we fixed a few ALSA things in pCP8.0.0 it
Hi, I have a IAN Canada HDMIpi transmitter connected to a rpi4 using
picoreplayer, which is feeding a Denafrips Pontus II DAC.
The issue with my current setup is sample rate limitations and lack of
DSD capability => no function for sampling rates above 192kHz and no
native DSD output.
