Just applied the 3.17 and LMS upgrades, without problem.
Thanks for your continued, and continuing, support.

I'm really quite impressed, so thanks for setting up the repo. I had a
chance to buy a cheap 3040 so took the opportunity to free up an 8GB
RPi4 from it's LMS duties so I can use it for other projects.
Hi
Just set up LMS on Alpine on a Wyse 3040 using your repo. All is good
until I need to install/update "libcrypt-openssl-rsa-perl" to support
the Shairtunes plugin. I've tried apk search but am drawing blanks (I'm
more used to Arch and Debian based distros. so I'm sure the issue is
me!)

This post, and the next few following, may help you in building your own
perl binaries:

A wifi dongle with a different chipset!
I don't think drivers for the RTL8821CU are in the kernel, so you need
to compile and make for each linux distribution. I have to do this on my
PC running Manjaro, and a quick look around suggests you
I use Waveshare DSI screens, both 4.3" and 5". Extremely easy to use,
proper plug'n'play, no configuration required.

Did you ever get a replacement board?
Where is this at now? I have one running Moode, but would prefer a PcP
solution.
Ça marche!

Well done!
IIRC the build process itself took a real long time.
For future reference, can you recall your exact cp statement? Was mine
even close?

Yes, you have to modify it to suit your CPU architecture and your Perl
version. I think it was something like:

It was a while ago, but from memory, assuming you have 20.04 server up

That tutorial is a bit misleading, as it is based on upgrading form a
previous version to Ubuntu 20.04.
On a fresh install you do not have to edit any init'd scripts, you just
need to 'sudo systemctl enable logitechmediaserver'
You can install any version after downloading the appropriate .deb

Almost certainly not a Waveshare/Spotpear screen; I think it's a Jun
Electronics version, which uses a wch touch driver. Have you tried
running it and calibrating on Raspbian, or another more mainstream RPi
OS? That may give some clues...

An option you may wish to pursue is to download and install the
hifiberryOS, which I would assume will support your HAT, and then set it
be a squeezelite player. In this way you can integrate with your current
LMS,

I have an 'old' 4GB SD card on which I load Raspbian Lite. Every so
often I boot my RPi4 from this, run apt update, upgrade etc, then run
rpi-eeprom-update. If there is a new firmware available, this takes care
of it.

These are new IQaudIO products for the RPi and Zero, and are distinct to
the previous IQaudIO products, hence needing new drivers/overlays...

I did the very same with an IQAudIO DigiAmp+; I was actually part way
through an email conversation with the supplier about a return when I
realised what the problem was and had to come

That'd be the first thing I'd change. 2A is not sufficient for safe and
reliable operation of a Pi4, as you are finding out!

Yes!
I'mm move them and see if that's the culprit.

Are you sure the LMS Servcie is running?
I had something similar when my RPi was not getting sufficient
power/volts to run it and the USB drive. Is your drive on a powered hub?

Khadas Tone Board works fine in PCP as a USB device, and has done so for
a couple of months without issue. However, I find it is improved with
SPDIF input from an IQAudio Pi-Digi+, with only power via USB.

Hi Paul
I owe you an apology for wasting your time; It seems that the
information on the Goodix touch controller was incorrect. It now appears
that the Waveshare HDMI driven screens try and imitate the standard RPi
displays, hence no need to install a driver, which is why I had to

That's what I thought, and tried previously, with the following result:
Code:
tc@Cossor-PCP:~$ sudo modprobe goodix.ko
modprobe: FATAL:

I'm running a RPi 2B, with a Waveshare 7" 1024 x 600 screen. Up to and
including V3.50, the touch on the screen worked. However, with V4.0b7,
there is no touch facility. Other than that,

to work, in that both systems rebooted and found the wifi etc, but in
both instances, squeezelite was reported as stopped on the main page,
and would not

All that is needed is the following appended to your config.txt:
Code:

# Added by APE for 7" screen
hdmi_drive=1

Did you try IQAudioDAC, or IQAudioDAC+ ?
Anything with an RT5572N chipset is pretty much plug'n'play on RPi's
running most OS's. I specifically use these, being cheap and very
effective - no WiFi issues whatsoever:
