In [Beta] mode, the [Wifi Settings] page has a [Diagnostics] button that
gives all the wifi information you could want (I think). ;)

The USB wifi adapter is one made by Edimax, but it is not enabled right
now.

Hmmm thats eaxctly what I use (I rarely format before writing though),
make sure you close the sd card before removing it from the PC.

If you attach a screen to your raspberry you can probably see what goes
wrong during the boot

I have just bought a Pi 3 with the intention of using a Squeezebox type
program. Having previously downloaded picoreplayer I spent an
unsuccessful couple of hours trying to get it working to discover that
the web site now says the program does not work on Pi 3. Does anyone
know it a Pi 3 version
WD have started to produce PI specific drives called the PiDrive. Not
sure what benefit these bring over other drives but they do some cases
to go with them.

Can't you do a "clean" install (re-image the micro-SD with the latest

I know it's not as easy as the in-situ update.

I realized that my custom dtoverlay setting in the config.txt get
removed when I enable my Hifiberry card.
I found for HifiBerry-DAC the function "pcp_remove_dt" is called but for
all other sound-cards the function "pcp_disable_i2s"
Unfortunately "pcp_remove_dt" removes all dtoverlay setting

have used Squeezepad on my iPad to select music stored on my vortexbox

AFAIK, the default LMS Web Server Port Number is 9000. If yours is 9001
then someone has changed it. :confused:
So if you don't want to change it back, you will need to edit the URL
when you click on the LMS tab, change 9000 to 9001. We don't have a
mechanism to handle non-default

Ok will try that tonight.
I'm using USB out to a Beresford Caiman II DAC's USB port. It sounds
great but is limited to 96khz and I can see from the supported USB DAC
list that someone else has reported the same value. My question is that
the limit of 96khz was stated by Stan because of Windows USB drivers and
not Linux.

The only card compatible with Rpi 1 is the Wolfson Audio Card (Model 1)

I installed piCorePlayer on RPI2 and a HifiBerry Digi+ Card. Then I
installed LMS 7.9 on piCorePlayer.
Everything is working fine except dff/dsf replay.
My DAC is non DSD capable nor DoP, but I saw dsf can be converted on the
fly and decoded by alsa but I can't get it to run.
