I cannot install this, can't find "libftdi.tcz"
Someone has already logged an issue for this but no response so I guess
Slimmer is abandoned?
Has anyone installed recently with any success? Or, would someone be
willing to share an image of their working PI?

Hi, just for update.
I can confirm that with piCorePlayer 6.0.0, Slimmer WORKS (some problems
exists with pikeyd on pi4) but it doesn't work with piCorePlayer 6.1.0.
any suggestion will be appreciated

Hi Paul, i think it's related to some recent update, because last
comments previous mine, state same problem.
I don't understand if the project is still maintained, because if the
problem were in Slimmer itself, i would have no way to solve it. :(

I just did a fresh 6.1.0 install and gettin the same LCDd communication
error.

Hello, I found the solution myself. The pikeyd service could not be
started because the kernel module /dev/uinput in pcp6 is not started.
The solution was to enter the "modprobe uinput" command in the
/opt/bootlocal.sh file before pikeyd was started.

Denon DRA-585RD. I did some hardware design myself a couple of years ago

On the [Tweaks] page we have "User commands" for adding user's commands
to the startup process. Theses are run towards the end of
do_rebootstuff.
This *should* work in your case and have the benefit of being easier to
setup and should be saved in you config.cfg. :)

Make sure squeezelite is NOT running with the -i lirc.conf option and
that lircd is run with the --uinput

Depends on how pcp is configured.
Running only squeezelite, then the lirc_client linked to squeezelite is
used to read IR events from lircd.

In the meantime I finished the buttons/encoder and hooked them up.
Made a funny observation:
The encoder worked to wrong way: clockwise decreased volume, CCW
increased.
So I figured I only need to swap the pin numbers in pikeyd.conf.

I don't know, but I think if you install it with pCp, you can easy
reconfigure it and save the new config with filetool.sh.
