I am glad you found the right solution for you. We are lucky there are
so many good Audio distro's for the RPi.
With a minimal distribution like pCP there will always be a bit more
work to do to get things going (other than the basic setup). Those

to have the correct settings, but still no joy.
I've moved on... there's a
