Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Squeezeboxserver, Kubuntu 9.10 Karmic, and MySQL
I tried the suggestion of changing to the testing repository, and upgraded (now at 7.4.2 - r2975), then switching the repository back to stable. I'd just like to confirm that it was a helpful suggestion as I no longer get the dependency error messages and everything seems to be working fine so far. the problem that I am suffering is that the deb won't install with Mysql5.1 in place. A fix is on the way. I would guess that if you install mysql 5.1 after the deb then it will work ok. Kubuntu 9.10 removes sbs at present and cannot be installed simply with the deb. If you can get sbs running it works ok with 5.1 so might not be a problem for you. -- mudlark SB3CyrusDACXPreXvsESPAudio P09B Active filterNAP140+260ARhapsody, Avondale and Naim cable, Kubuntu Jaunty Jakalope server, various boxes for storage. This is a right royal pain. I'll try to stimulate some interest as it is clearly a squeezebox server problem. -- mudlark SB3CyrusDACXPreXvsESPAudio P09B Active filterNAP140+260ARhapsody, Avondale and Naim cable, Kubuntu Jaunty Jakalope server, various boxes for storage.
