I'm afraid my city is a bit too complex for this viewer :(
So I'll keep using the VRML version. But you're right it would be nice
if I could use the rsview instead.
Arjo.
Hi Arjo :
Will more more powerful OpenGL cards solve the scene
complexity issue for you in the future ? Or is it

I'm aware of problems with network rendering. The last beta
just before releasing seemed to have solved it. Well at least
on my little farm.
from your mails I understand it's all Vista on your end while the hick-ups
in my render network are between XP computers. I wonder if that can make
thankyou that is a great help

Hi Garry,
The little tests I tried, showed that redrawing screens is much slower
than VRML. Both on the same OGL card.
So I think VRML is better optimized. Maybe because VRML is based on
polygons, I don't know.
I also have problems with the large sky dome around my city. RSView
simply doesn't
Hi Frank,
No, I'm not running on Vista alone.
I've quite a mixed network:
dual opteron - vista 64
intel dual core - vista 32
pentium IV hyperthreading - XP pro
Athlon xp single core - XP pro
Athlon xp dual core - XP pro
All my machines have fixed IP. Could that be different from your setup?
Hi Arjo,
Could you tell me how much memory do you have on your
pentium IV hyperthreading - XP pro ? I have 2GB (not 2Mb of course as i

Garry...a mistake !!)I have a ASUS P5WD2 which can support 8 GB

I saw on upgradenation.com 2GB = $129 , after all not to much.

Hi, and Merry Christmas to all.
Today I was trying to make Realsoft Image contest entry with the new V6.
As I read earlier from the list I noticed that noise object is a float now.
In my scene I used brushsteel material and added noise into the Surface
Properties.
After this my rendering

Arjo.
Interesting question. Has this made a difference in the past, at the beta
trials? I have them all on DHCP.
