from your mails I understand it's all Vista on your end while the hick-ups
in my render network are between XP computers. I wonder if that can make the
difference.

Yes I did, Vesa suggested it too, No succes.

For any severe renderjob I now copy the complete project to one of the 32
bit computers and make that computer host while all others, including the 64
bit one, are servers. Works fine, no advantage from the extra Ram in the 64
bit computer though.

Haven't dared to render from a virtual network drive yet, this could
simplify the work process somewhat.
