[libreoffice-users] Re: Can't print directly with the toolbar print icon

2019-10-16 Thread Pedro
Hi Mark

You need to re-add the function Print Directly to your Toolbar.
Right-click on the Standard Toolbar, select "Customize Toolbar...", scroll
down to the Print button on the Right panel and check the box for the Print
Directly button under it so that it is displayed.
If the problem is not that it is un-selected, just add it from the Function
list on the left.

Hope this helps,
Pedro

Since both files (PPTX and ODP) are ZIP files with a different extension,
you can rename them and check which files each ZIP contains.
My guess is that ODP is storing un-needed font files. This has been reported
for years for ODT files

You need to rearrange the data to get what you want. You need a column for
each month (the month name will be used as the label for the line)

x,Jan,Fev
10,20,

20,20,
5,,10

30,,30

Then simply select all data and choose a XY plot with lines

LibreOffice Developers decided to join the User name in early 5.3 versions.
Then because this was breaking up features (such as resumed editing) they
have returned to two fields but the user name was left joined.

You need to go to Tools > Options > User Data and fix your Name to separate
fields (First, Last)

Hope this helps.

I get the same problem with version 5.3.5.2 x64 under Windows 7. I tested

LibreOffice has switched (don't know exactly which version) to OpenGL
rendering which is on by default in recent versions.

Go to Tools > Options and select on the left listing LibreOffice, View and
then uncheck "Use OpenGL for all rendering"

If this doesn't help, can you report a bug and append to it one of the

Actually that is not true. At my workplace I have to manually add the domain
admin to the PC's admin group on each computer.

Maybe some setting was misconfigured by our IT but my point is you should
not assume everything everywhere works as you think it does.

Actually the OP already confirmed that the domain admin is also a local
admin so this could be a Windows 7 x86 specific bug (I have no problems with
any version of LibreOffice x64 on Windows 7 x64).

Could this be a limitation of the Excel export? You didn't mention if it is
MS XML (XLSL) or good-old binary XLS

Can you work in ODS format (while you are translating) and then export as
XLS only before sending to your client?

If that works it is obviously a workaround (not a solution) and you should

Hi Jurriaan

You can get any version you like from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

or simply the latest at
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/latest/win/

These files are guaranteed to be in working conditions. If you can not get a

somewhere else (maybe your antivirus?)

I suggest that you use a download manager such as the FLOSS Free Download

Edwar Cifuentes wrote

The clickable index works as expected in any viewer. The jpdfbookmarks
program is only supposed to be used to add bookmarks. If after adding the
bookmarks the index is not working in your PDF viewer as expected then it is
a bug. You can submit the bug to the jpdfbookmarks developers (but as I
mentioned it seems to be abandoned) or fix it yourself (if you know how to
code)

Alternatively you could try to run PDF X-Change Editor under Linux using
Wine (I am just an occasional Linux user so I have no idea how well this
works)

If that works then you can try something even faster: export the bookmarks
from the Calc 3.4 Guide and import it to the Calc 4.1 Since the manuals
should not be that different, you can have a perfect Calc 4.1 guide within a
few hours.

Disclaimer: I am no way affiliated with the authors of PDF X-Change Editor,
I'm just a happy user of a great free (but not open source) program (that
unfortunately is only available for the Windows platform)

It is even faster than that. Just select any text and press a hotkey and it
is added as a bookmark named after the select text.

If you do find a multi-platform Open Source program that does the same

In Owncloud, after loading the PDF, just click on the button on the top left

In the spirit of open source, here is the Calc 4.1 manual in PDF with
bookmarks for the main chapters.
I added them all in under 2 minutes using the Free version of Tracker
Software's PDF-XChange Editor (available for Windows only)
Adding bookmarks is really simple: just select the text you want to show on
the bookmark and press Ctrl+Shift+B (or type it manually). I only did the
top level chapters but the full index could be easily done...

https://cloud.openmailbox.org/index.php/s/heS4nmihNGttjUb
(unfortunately the file is too large to upload to the Nabble mailing list)

There is also a free and open source tool that does a similar job named
JPdfBookmarks (https://sourceforge.net/projects/jpdfbookmarks/) which as the
name implies requires Java but runs on any OS.
Unfortunately JPdfBookmarks seems abandoned and has the drawback that it
sets a fixed zoom level for each bookmark. Therefore jumping back and forth
between viewing the text and using the bookmarks could be unpleasant.

Enjoy!
Pedro

There is a clickable index (between pages 3 and 6 in the 4.1 guide) which
allows you to jump to any page in the document. This is not as efficient as
the bookmark/outline available in the 3.4 guides but it still works.
This was possibly an option taken by the editors to save time/work for the
volunteers? (I'm just guessing)

Hope this helps

It is indeed a bug!

A very similar problem has been reported
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99753

Maybe you can open a new bug report with your description? (it doesn't seem
to be exactly the same and developers are very picky)

I can confirm it also occurs in version 5.1.3.2 x64 under Windows 7 Pro x64
(so it's not a Windows

Hope this helps

Select the whole sentence and press Shift+F3 repeatedly. "Capitalize" will
capitalize every word of the sentence aka Title Case.

I also use Thunderbird under Windows 7 Pro. Re-opening LibreOffice (at least
with version 5.1.3.2) after Thunderbird as been closed (and the tmps have
been removed by Thunderbird on exit) doesn't show any temporary files in the
Recent list or in the Start Center.

I have no idea in which version this feature was added/fixed but it is
currently not an issue (at least under Windows)

If you update at least to the 4.3 branch you will have the option to remove
any document from the recent list (I would recommend 4.4.7 which is the last
release in the 4.x tree)
If you want to stick with 4.2 you can use the History Master extension
http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/project/history-master
After installing, close LibreOffice, reopen, click on Tools > Add-Ons >
History Master > Remove inaccessible items

Notice that documents in currently disconnected drives (such as an external
HDD) will also be removed.

I believe such an option would be useful (an "Unlock document" button). Can
you add an Enhancement request in https://bugs.documentfoundation.org ?

There is another option: get a free account at https://open365.io/ and use
LibreOffice 5.1.0.3 within your browser.

If you install the open365 Android application you will have two
synchronized copies of each document: 1 in your tablet and another on the
open365 cloud.

The good news: if your tablet breaks all your documents are safe. The bad
news: because LibreOffice is running in your browser you can only edit your
files when you are connected to the internet...

It is currently the closest you can get to having LibreOffice on an Android
tablet...

[libreoffice-users] Re: configure external image editor

Apparently LibreOffice simply opens the image with the program associated to
the image type (could be png, jpg, etc) on your user preferences (at the OS
level)
This means that the menu option is not clear.

In fact the current "Edit with External Tool..." option seems like an
incomplete work. Even if you do Edit the image with the external program,
you will have to reinsert the edited image manually because simply closing
the external editor will not do that (as seems to be implied by the menu
option).

Therefore you have two options: you could consider this a Bug and request
the menu option to be renamed to the more accurate text "Open with
associated external program" OR you could do an Enhancement Request and ask
the developers to add an option to LibreOffice where the user defines the
path to an external editor (e.g. Gimp) which is actually used for editing.

Of course the second option involves a lot more work because it not only
requires to add that option to the Options dialog but would also require
that after editing the image, the modified image would be updated in the
document...

Curiously having an "Edit with External Tool..." option would seem that
there should be an Edit option (where LibreOffice's own Draw would used as
the logical Internal Tool)

Maybe in the future?

In any case, the place to report bugs or request enhancements is at
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=LibreOffice

Hope this helps...

It's another OpenGL problem.

Go to Tools > Options, click on LibreOffice and View on the left tree and

Close LibreOffice, open again.

I have no idea if it's like MS Office 2016. I never used it. But it is open

Obviously this is not useful for everybody. An online office suite like
open365 doesn't make sense for personal use in places where access to the
internet is limited. But maybe for an ONG with several PCs connected to an
intranet it is worth considering...

The idea is to have the office installed in your own server so that all
users have the same stable version and don't have to worry if the software
is updated.
On the other hand if everybody in a organization is using LibreOffice then
there is really no reason to use MS file formats...

Maybe this is the beginning of a GOOD thing!

The client is exactly the same as the Dropbox (or Microsoft's OneDrive)
client. It syncs the cloud files with a folder on your drive. The advantage
is that if you don't have internet connection you can still use the offline
LibreOffice to work on the offline file and it will be synced when you are
connected. In addition it is a backup on your own computer so if the cloud
service is discontinued you still have your files, which to me makes all
sense ;)

I believe your antivirus is being overcautious about a program that is
uploading files to the internet (but that is how a sync client should work)

Hope this helps

You can even change the icon theme or add extensions like dictionaries (and

The only limitation is that the interface is in US English only.

Yes, this is a good suggestion!

Using the file you (nasrin) sent me as an example:

original docx 221KB
saved as doc (in Office 2010) 874KB
doc+zip 193KB

Your best option is to ask your friend to save as doc in MS Office and then
zip. This way both can open and edit the file. You just need to add some
extra steps: extract the file, edit and then compress again.

Saving as ODT in MS Office 2010 (which has a similar size to docx) is
unfortunately not an option in this case: MS Office will ruin the file if
you modify it in LibreOffice.

Hope this helps.

Select the cell(s) that have more than one row of text (or all) and then go

Now you will probably have to adjust the width of the column so that all

You can not attach files to the emails but you can add them to the Nabble

Alternatively you can post a link to some ftp server or file sharing host.

Just under the big green "Download Version ..." button is a quite visible
"Info" link which leads you to quite a few hashes.

e.g.

Hope this helps

Yes, you only need to restart LibreOffice.

Did you use the same document to test the 6 computers? I have never seen the
"major text portions

Can you share a link to the document (if you used the same document)?
Can you take a screenshot of the problem?
Maybe you should search Bugzilla for this problem (and report it if it

Microsoft Office and LibreOffice (or any Open Document based Office) will
never be 100% compatible. It is not in Microsoft's interest that they are
compatible.

That said, you are probably better off using Office 2003 (.doc) format. It
has been around for a longer time (so many problems have been figured out)
and it is no longer changing. On the contrary there is no Office 2013
format. It is just another iteration of the XML version that Microsoft has
been tweaking since Office 2007 making it slightly incompatible even with
the previous MS Office releases so that the user is forced to keep buying
the newest version.

If there are any features in the document that are not compatible with .doc
then your only options (excluding giving in to Microsoft) are to ask the
Editor to install LibreOffice alongside with Microsoft Office or send the
editor the Portable version of LibreOffice (maybe just the link)
http://www.libreoffice.org/download/portable-versions/
and in that case you could stick with ODF files which is definitely your
best option.

The idea is that the Editor will still be using MS Office as default but can
open ODF files.

Hope this helps,
Pedro

In my experience this is simply not possible. To have a linear graph the
X-values have to increase (in this case with year). You have 12 text values
on the X-axis.
You really have to convert this to a two column structure (BTW if you make
the first date value 1/15/2007 and the second 2/15/2007 you can simply drag
the X values all the way down and LO is smart enough to always use the 15th
of every month)

If someone knows a different solution, I'm also interested in learning!

Interesting article. Unfortunately Jack Wallen is not aware (or deliberately
ignores) that 5.1.0 is the .0 release in a new branch. Even if it has new
features (because it is a new branch...) it is still very raw and it should
not be recommended for general use.
So 5.1 is not a .1 fix over 5.0. It is a new branch with new features (and
new bugs and regressions). Branch 5.1 should be usable around 5.1.3 (just
like 5.0.5 is an excellent version)

A good example is Open Remote File. It is an excellent improvement. Except
that because this is a .0 release it fails to work on some systems/OSes
(search bugzilla to see what I mean).

Another example is OpenGL. In branch 5.1 OpenGL is set to ON by default.
Unfortunately OpenGL is currently not a good experience (at least in my
experience with several machines ranging from Windows XP to 10). The menus
are blurry and slow, which is particularly noticeable on older/slower
systems.

So, yes branch 5.1 has great things but don't make such a fuss about a .0
(again, it is 5.1.0) release.

Just my 2 cents...

The major change from 5.0 to 5.1 is the default usage of OpenGL for all
graphic operations. Maybe OpenGL is slowing down your system (on both my
Windows machines all OpenGL does is make everything blurry and slow). But
remember this is a .0 version so it is expected to be buggy (no matter what
the TDF marketeers say)

Go to menu Tools > Options, on the left panel choose LibreOffice > View and
uncheck the box "Use OpenGL for all rendering (on restart)". Close the
Options dialog and Exit LibreOffice.

Restart LibreOffice and reopen your document.

If this solves your problem you should still report a bug. It is not
expected to need 1 hour to open a document...

You have done some quite extensive testing so it seems to be reasonable to
assume there is a specific problem with LO 5.1.0.3 under Arch Linux.

You could try 5.1.1.1 (aka RC1) which solved some of the problems that
occured under Windows XP with 5.1.0.3. Maybe those fixes also improved LO
under Arch Linux...

If that doesn't improve things you should move back to the 5.0 branch

That looks a lot like a Unix/Linux line command ;) so I will give it a go
when I'm on my Linux box. Nevertheless it looks much more efficient than
having to rename the odp to zip, extracting the xml files and searching for
fonts! Thanks!

The problem with styles.xml is that it is listing ALL the fonts in the
default styles regardless of the fact that you are probably using a small
fraction of them. Many (most?) users only use the Default style and all else
is direct formatting...

What I'm trying to figure out is which fonts are _effectively_ used...

Maybe it's time for TDF to assume that 5.1 does NOT support Windows XP (5.0

Indeed it does show the original font but it is not efficient to have to

Hi Robert and Brian

You had the same idea with a few minutes overlap :)

Thank you for the suggestion. I am aware that PDFs list the embedded fonts.
Unfortunately that doesn't work for this problem...

When you open an Open Document and don't have the fonts used in the document
they will be replaced by a similar font.
Therefore when you create the PDF in a computer that doesn't have all the
original fonts, the fonts embedded are the replacement fonts. This means
that the PDF font list will show the fonts currently used but not the name
of the original ones.

Any other ideas?

I believe you are wrong. She has contributed with bug reports on the
tracker.

If LibreOffice wants to be universally used then it needs users from other
countries and cultures.
This is particularly important if LibreOffice wants to handle other
characters and Right To Left (RTL) writing such as Persian or Farsi (used by
around 100 million human beings)

The fact that she adds a link to a site explaining her religion doesn't
shock me. In fact I think it follows the same logic of Open Source projects
(such as LibreOffice). If you find a good project you want to share it with
others so that they join the community and that advantage of this good thing
you found.

I do not believe in any religion but I am sure that insulting people or
their religion does not help in any way and am also sure that religion is
not a subject for this forum.

Returning to the subject I believe it would be useful to find out what is
making people stick to older (and in particular discontinued) versions. If
it is because the new features in new versions are not useful to them but
the version they use fulfills all their needs, then it is fine. But if the
cause are regressions then it is something to worry about.

Just my 2 cents.

All the best,
Pedro

[libreoffice-users] Translations

2015-12-28 Thread Juan Pedro CC
Good Morning,
In your Spanish distribution, is included by default, for all Spain,
besides our Spanish language, Catalan language option, eliminating options
of other languages used in our country, such as the Basque, Galician and
Valencian. The issue is extremely controversial because in our country, the
use of regional languages creates no little domestic news, provoking much
controversy among Spanish regions.
No. You can not include a regional language by default if you don't include
the others one. The Catalan can be an installable option, but not a default
option. I consider, and as many more people we have talked about this
issue, an insult to our linguistic unity and variety, our nation and our
people.
Sincerely,
Juan Pedro Caparros Caballonga

Maybe that is enough to solve the problem and there is no need to upload the

No problem doing the same with Gimp 2.8.16 and LibreOffice 5.4.0.1 under
Windows XP. Can you create an image file which illustrates the problem and

MS Office 2003 does not support ODT (unless you installed the *very old* Sun
ODF Plugin)
Do you mean Office 2013?

charles meyer wrote

Did you save a newly created document in ODT format in your Office 2013?

Of course there is a file permission "factor". Microsoft advises users not
to save in ODT (because some "data might be lost"...) and I assume it is
using the published ODF 1.2 specification.

On the other hand LibreOffice is pushing the ODF format so it is ahead of
the published specification (not using ODF 1.2 strict specification by
default).

You can change the ODF format under Tools > Option> Load/Save (second item
with an arrow on the left panel list) > ODF format version

Change to ODF "1.2 Extended (compatibility mode)" or to "1.2" if the
previous option is still not compatible enough

Of course now you get a "Not using ODF 1.2 Extended may cause information to
be lost"

So I believe the "factor" is always going to be present whatever file format
you choose to use (similar problems occur with DOC and DOCX)

Hope this helps...

Maybe request for user selectable precision? In your example 1/8 inch =
0.3175 cm so if someone uses the metric system it would require 4 decimal
cases to achieve the _exact_ same position.

If you would like to make that suggestion official, you can add it to the

This way it may be included in a future version...

You probably need to un-hide the Administrator account (probably it doesn't
have a password...)

Then you can log in as the Admin and install LibreOffice from this account

You can only search for the Theme's name. Searching for the Author won't
work.
Unfortunately the URL input was removed by a Google Summer School student
who remodeled the Theme dialog.

Currently there is no way to select a specific theme. Unless you are
fortunate that the theme you like is within the first 9 that come out in
whatever search you do, you are out of luck.

Curiously, searching for "Dandelion Seeds" in the Mozilla Add-Ons, Themes
page immediately returns the theme you are looking for in first place, so I
have no idea which search engine or criteria the LibreOffice dialog is
using...

That is a know Regression and was reported some time ago
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88502

Unfortunately none of the devs working on LibreOffice found that this is an
interesting bug to fix...

Maybe someone knows a workaround?

This is a bug in the x86 (32bit) version only. This is an error in the 5.x
branch and it has already been reported

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95184

Don't worry about the automatic download. LibreOffice is ALWAYS set to WARN
the user about new versions but does NOT automatically download the files.

The fact that the options are missing does not mean there was a change of
mind by LibreOffice/TDF.

It was simply an error.

Hope this helps ;)

AndrOffice is a port of OpenOffice but the interface was not redesigned so
it's unusable in a mobile phone (maybe on a 10" tablet it could work)

LibreOffice Viewer is... a viewer (and absurdly slow). I realize that at
some point it will have editing functions but at the moment it is a huge
download just to view files. The main advantage is that is supports ODF

I use WPS Office (formerly Kingston Office) but it is not Open Source. It is
a reverse-code software from an unknown company, so use at your own risk...
The usability is quite good even on a mobile phone. IMO it is currently the
best option. It doesn't support ODF, only MS formats (old binary and XHTML)

All of these are installed on the phone and work with files on the phone (no
need to connect to the "cloud")

Finally there is Microsoft Office... The interface is not bad (but inferior
to WPS) and it works with local files but requires an account to synchronize
at some point to the "cloud". I was not very impressed. I can't remember if
it worked with ODF...

Hope this helps (and looking forward to read other opinions :) )

One way to do this is to have another column with column Weekday using the
formula you suggested. Then you have two options: either use conditional
formatting to set the background of the Weekday column OR use conditional
formatting with Condition set to "Formula is" and point to the weekday in
the same row and have the background changed accordingly.

Yes but no...
If you use ODF you never know what happens when you open with MSO
If you use DOCX you never know what happens when you open with LO
If you use DOC track changes works with text but not with format changes.

I never used track changes with spreadsheets...

This is one of the LO limitations that stops me from switching to LO...

Could you be more specific? Under which OS? Were you using 5.0.5 or 5.0.1.2?
Did you test the latest stable build i.e. 4.4.5?

Using any branch until it reaches release x.x.3 or x.x.4 for production is
usually a bad idea (because of regressions) unlike what marketing says...

The User mailing list does not allow to add attachments to the emails, but
you can attach files to the Nabble topic if register
http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/odd-error-in-5-0-writer-td4158002.html

If the same template doesn't cause that problem in 4.2 then it is a
regression and should be reported in https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/

Nice article.

I disagree that the UI is the biggest problem...

If you are a NEW user (i.e. never used an Office suite before) then you need
to learn it from zero and organized menus are more logical than large
buttons organized by someone else.
If you are moving from Office 2003 then you will feel at home.
However if you are used to Office 2007 or newer then you are in real
trouble. Not only you will have to relearn/adjust to the UI but you will
have BIG problems with round-trip documents regardless if you are using XML
based MS file formats or Open Documents...

The issue is that not only XML based MS formats are proprietary and
constantly changing even within MS Office versions (so it is impossible for
other Offices to open or save EXACTLY like MS) but Microsoft makes sure that
you will also not want to use Open Document format to exchange files. You
will ALWAYS get some warning (more or less scary) that you will loose
something or that you have already lost something...

I really don't see a solution for this problem... Even if Governments
effectively push for Open Documents, the scary messages will always make
users think twice before opening or saving to Open Document formats...

Just my 2 cents ;)

Re: [libreoffice-users] VAR, STDEV, CHISQ.INV

2015-07-08 Thread Rui Pedro Caldeira
Hey and thanks for your fast answer. This is the data set:

  0.01 0.01 0.01 0.01 0.01 0.01 0.01
0.01 0.01 0.01 0.01 0.01 0.01 0.01
0.02 0.03 0.97 0.97 0.97 0.97 0.98
1.01 1.97

Using the formula in the spreadsheet it gives the value: 0.328061419 (VAR)
and 0.5727664611 (STDEV)

And yes, i do mean CHISQ.INV :)

Thanks, Rui.

Yes, this is possible with LibreOffice 4.4.

You can select if the text in a Table cell is rotated by 90 or 270 degrees.
You define this is Paragraph Style > Position > Rotation

Hi Rob

Rob wrote

I believe it is not possible to lookup in two columns. The best way is to
create a combined search field in column C of the Mainlist something like
=A1&"_"&B1
On the Performed tab you can either do the same (have 3 columns) or a single
column with just the combined code e.g. 297_b and do the lookup from the
Mainlist

If someone knows a more elegant/efficient way I would also be interested in
learning.

Hope this helps.

Brilliant! That worked perfectly. Thank you, Andreas!

Thomas Blasejewicz, there you have it. Two possible solutions: Andreas'

That has been suggested before. The OPs request is that LibreOffice opens
all files stored in a given folder. This means that he can add/remove files
from the folder as needed without having to edit a script/batch file.

Everything works fine (i.e. all documents in the AutoStart folder are
launched) except that the onApplicationStart macro is not executed when
LibreOffice is opened.

I can't test if this script does what the OP asked for. Where should the
AutoStart folder be placed when using a Windows OS or in a Linux OS?

Would it be possible to take this effort further and evolve this script into
an extension with a point-and-click interface to select the Autostart
folder?

Maybe some other people would find this feature useful and it is probably
more likely that this can be added as an extension rather than as a new
feature...

Hi Thomas

Interesting feature. That wasn't available in the Lotus DOS days probably
because you could only open one file at a time :)

The short answer is: LibreOffice does not have that feature. I am not aware
of any free or commercial spreadsheet that does that.

The long answer:

Since LibreOffice is a free open source software you can ask for that
feature to be added by submitting an Enhancement Request in the TDF Bugzilla
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/

It is submitted as any other bug. Choose Calc(*) in the Component box and
"enhancement" in the Severity box.
Obviously this will be added to the list and is depending on a developer
getting interested on your problem.

Alternatively you can set a Bounty (e.g. https://www.bountysource.com/), try
Crowdfunding (e.g. https://freedomsponsors.org/) or pay a company like
Collabora to add the feature
(https://libreoffice-from-collabora.com/consultancy/)

Note: I'm not affiliated with TDF or any of the sites mentioned. There are
probably other companies/sites/solutions.

Hope this helps.

(*) Actually because LibreOffice can open many file formats this could be
added as a General feature where you could have text, spreadsheets,
presentations, etc in the Startup folder that would open when LibreOffice
opens ;) I bet quite a few people would find this feature interesting!

Unfortunately that is _not_ an option.

But there is a workaround in a request to add such an option
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=74834

Hope this helps.

Tinderbox is a computer producing daily builds (which are Development
builds, not installed over your 4.4.2.2)

I advise you to get the 4.4.3.2 which works as expected (and is EXACTLY the
same as version 4.4.3 which will be officially released this week)

http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/win/x86/LibreOffice_4.4.3.2_Win_x86.msi

you can also get the offline help for your location from the same folder

http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/win/x86/

(scroll down and ignore the 5.0alpha files which are also Development
builds)

Hope this helps.

The same applies to selecting rows or columns. No delay.

No need to shout. You are being unnecessarily rude.

Right click is immediate regardless of the number of discontiguous cells
selected in my Windows XP Pro x86 SP3 machine (a 7 year "old" Core 2 Duo
with 2GB RAM) running LibreOffice 4.4.3.1

Maybe the problem you are experiencing has already been solved?

I just tried that but exporting to ODS with GoogleDocs and opening in
LibreOffice 4.3.6 (the latest version in the stable 4.3 branch released in
February 20th) shows no problems at all with IFERROR.

Can you please try that with your file? If for some reason you do not have
permission to update LibreOffice, you can always use the Portable version
from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/winpenpack/files/X-LibreOffice/releases/

In any case it is indeed a "missing feature" that the functions are not
described in the documentation (either the on-line or the off-line help)

Hope this helps
