To those who have tried to help me with n-dashes: Thank you. Auto correct is now working. I thought it was supposed to replace a hyphen with an n-dash by typing a hyphen. I find by experimentation that it is necessary to type 2 hyphens, which it then turns into an n-dash. OO is so complicated!
