Latest version of oVirt node 4.2 installed on three hosts. I completed
successfully the cockpit gdeploy process to deploy HCI. All of that went
well with no errors. I then proceeded to the hosted engine deployment step
which eventually failed (log attached).
This is the current status:

Can you provide other logs, vdsm log, for example?
The installation of the Engine seem to have succeeded, then it tried to add
the host. It was waiting for quite some time to get the host into 'Up'
state.

I was having the same issue. I've blown away my logs, but VDSM was failing
to start up after attempting to configure vswitch filtering. Have switched
to oVirt Node, which seems to be working.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the hosted engine
deployment process. I looked through the log, but wasn't able to find
anything to explain why setup failed to bring up the VM. To clarify, did

Hello,
I am on CENTOS 7.4.1708

No need turned out to be pebkac, I had been using my domain account for so

OK I seem to be having some fundamental confusion about this migration.
I have an existing ovirt 3.5 (upgraded from 3.4) setup with a Data Center
containing four clusters, 3 VM clusters for 3 differenc classes of CPU
hosts (Penryn, Nehalem, and SandyBridge). I also have a gluster storage
