What about RHEL-6.1-latest ? Centos seems to be lagging quite a bit

Re: [SOGo] Can't select default calendar in Webinterface

2011-10-28 Thread Tobias Wallura
Hi,

I just upgraded from 1.3.8b to 1.3.9, restarted the sogo service, and
cannot reproduce your problem.
In my setup the list contains three entries.

The problem may be, that the items are not yet translated to german.
When using the german user interface the list contains only the generic
keys "selectedCalendar", "personalCalendar" and "firstCalendar".

Regards,
Tobias

Ok, good to hear that the problem has been found. I had considered in
switching to SL for faster updates, but I guess I did the right thing
by sticking with CentOS.

Time for me to go to bed here in Finland, it would be a nice surprise
to find working packages in the morning, so I could finish my first
SOGo installation and start testing :)

I had the same problem after running 'yum update' on my centos6
machine. What I have installed is:

gnustep-base-1.23.0-1.i686
gnustep-make-2.6.1-1.i686
sogo-1.3.9-1.el6.i686

sope49-gdl1-4.9-20111028_1664.el6.1.i686

I fixed the problem by editing /etc/init.d/sogod in the following way:

  #. /usr/GNUstep/System/Library/Makefiles/GNUstep.sh
  . /usr/share/GNUstep/Makefiles/GNUstep.sh

But after this fix sogod still fails to start:

[root@sogo ~]# service sogod start

It was:

[root@sme ~]# grep 'gnustep-base' /var/log/yum/yum.log*
/var/log/yum/yum.log:Jan 31 11:07:57 Installed: gnustep-base-1.20.2-1.i386
/var/log/yum/yum.log:Oct 28 09:51:22 Updated: gnustep-base-1.23.0-1.i386

Notice that sogo was calling the libgnustep-base.so.1.20:

Starting SOGo:
/usr/sbin/sogod: error while loading shared libraries: libgnustep-base.so.1.20:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
 sogo [FAILED]

Interestingly, yesterday it was calling for 1.23 (that wasn't installed), but
there are different sope49 packages today from yesterday...

Update gnustep-base to version 1.23.

[SOGo] Interface Change

2011-10-28 Thread Jason Wohlford
I like the interface change for the web frontend. Smart. The new toolbar looks
good.

Might I suggest and additional tweak? How about moving the Disconnect to a
drop-down underneath the username as well as renaming "Sign Out" or "Log Out."
Disconnect feels like an unusual term as if I'm about to pull the plug on my
computer or something.

Preference seems better suited underneath the username as well.

I'd love the pop-out windows to go modal too.

Sorry. I got on a roll.

Cheers,
Jason

I had the same problem on CentOS 5.7 i386

Also, since 1.3.9, paths have changed
from /usr/GNUstep/System/Library/SOGo/ to /usr/lib/GNUstep/SOGo

Not sure if it's expected, but it's quite surprising for a maintenance
release...

Now that the sogo rpms are in the repository, I have updated... sogod wouldn't
start:

Starting SOGo:
/usr/sbin/sogod: error while loading shared libraries: libgnustep-base.so.1.20:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
  sogo [FAILED]

Created a symbolic link to the 1.23 version as 1.20... now it works...

Thanks for putting 1.39 out there. Now I can sync with cal/card DAV again!

[SOGo] no domain -> multi-domain

2011-10-28 Thread Albert Shih
Hi all,

I want to switch from «no-domain» to «multi-domain».

It's easy for new installation. But for a working installation (meaning lot
of event) how can I backup the old data and restore into the new ?

Can I use sogo-tool ? I don't find how to use sogo-tool with domain. In
fact I don't find a good man page of sogo-tool.

Regards.

Re: [SOGo] SOGo and ESXi VM

2011-10-28 Thread Nathanael Bettridge

Hi Allen,

We've got all our SOGo instances currently running on a mix of ESX 4.1,
ESXi 4.1 and ESXi 5 hosts (we're in the process of migrating to vSphere
5) - all 1.3.8b at the moment.

We're running 32 bit CentOS 5 instances, up to date as of a few days ago.

In all cases our SOGo VMs are used only for SOGo itself, a matching
Apache instance and a memcache instance. MySQL backends are on other
VMs, as are Funambol and LDAP instances. Since the OS is free why not
restrict it to one VM per function no? :)

I'd have to check the Funambol/SOGo-Connector versions but I'm pretty
sure they were the versions recommended on the website.

I've not seen any issues with Calendar causing a crash when synced with
Funambol, but I'd suggest upgrading to the current release version
unless there's a compelling reason not to, to ensure that any bugs that
could have cause this behaviour haven't already been fixed.

We were previously running the 1.3.5 version without that kind of bug
showing up, incidentally. I can't honestly recall if we had Funambol
running at that point however.

Thanks,

-Nathanael Bettridge

I reinstalled SOGo-1.3.5a rpms on CentOS 5.6(32bit) with different

SOGo works fine with VirtualBox, CentOS KVM and any physical machines.

if the calendar has been synced with Funambol.
